Wasn't The Order confirmed as running less than 1080p? I remember one game was running in a letterbox style so was slightly less than full 1080p.
It's some kind of special cinematic resolution which in effect gives 1080p.

There was no need to defend it, I was just saying that it's not just BF4 that's not running at 1080pThe Order is running 1920x800 which has a lot more pixels than 900p (1600x900) and still maintains 1:1 pixel mapping

Ah, no worries then. The Order looks pretty interesting, one of the PS4 exclusives that really intrigues me. Looking forward to seeing some proper gameplay footage in the future.Yeah I just went into more detail in case somebody saw the 800 vertical resolution and thought it was a lower resolution than 900p overall![]()
What's the story with Deadrising 3 scaling the res down from 720P depending on what's happening? is that right?
Still not 1080p though is it...Yeah I just went into more detail in case somebody saw the 800 vertical resolution and thought it was a lower resolution than 900p overall![]()
I believe so, it is a better solution than scaling the frame rate though.
I don't believe it scales down lower than 720p, I've heard nothing about that at all.Really it should have been 1080p scaling down though. Having LESS than 720p on Xbone or PS4 - now that is frankly absurd.

Me too. I'd personally rather they just kept it at a nice stable 720p and 30FPS, rather than messing around with the resolution. I know 720p30FPS isn't great, but considering it started as a 360 game and was then moved over to the One, it's not a surprise it's not properly optimised for the One.Yeah there hasn't been much info about this at all, all that was mentioned was that it runs at 720p and also that the resolution changes to keep a stable framerate, I would assume 720p is the minimum it runs at.
I'm not interested in the game but i'm curious to how this works.
I saw that last night. I'd be interested in knowing just how much the changing of apps has been sped up for the video, if at all. It looks very smooth and the voice commands would certainly give me a reason to use Kinect.(Cheesy) new trailer with some UI/Kinect and gameplay in it... Allow for overly earnest sounding americans in the vid
