Well it looks like the XBONE has a GPU with 12 compute units providing a total of 768 threads at 800MHz, with 16 ROPS for a total 1.2 teraflops but clockspeed is not confirmed as yet. Looks to be around the power of a 7770 With a lower clock speed and less ROPS.
As for the PS4 its stated to have 18 CU, 32 ROPS something like 1154 threads at 800Mhz for 1.84TFlops, slightly more than a 7850.
Both the XBONE and PS4 GPUs are supposed to use a newer GCN so they have increased efficiency compared to their comparable PC part.
 
Ryse now confirmed as an Xbox One exclusive.

So that'll be Crytek in Microsofts pocket as well. Which means the Cry Engine will be aimed at the Xbox One for lead development (For consoles that is).

tbh I think the white 360 still has the edge in looks over this fugly piece of kit! A plain black box with the same dimensions would look a world better.

anyway, at the end of the day this is not the sort of reaction MS would have expected on release of details, even on xbox.com every single post is someone not happy with this or that about the console and what it can, cannot do.
 
I swear if my missus was to pick that up she would assume it was two boxes sat next together - hell shed complain why they were next to each other because they dont match. Its a bold design I give them that, I think I like that they at least tried something, not sure what that was though, wish it was without the two tone gloss/matt so it was more subtle

I think it's safe to say, considering Sony's relative silence on the actual console design, the PS4 is either going to look absolutely amazing, or as screwed up as Sloth from the Goonies.
 
I think theyve got the look of it spot on :p about the only I gave them credit for last night tbh, well that and them gettng remedy to sign over their souls yet again for X amount of years!

If that were a htpc case my guess is a lot would like it!
 
I'll wait for the 'slim' to come out for the XB1 and the PS4, by then it'll be cheaper (as will the games be) and have a better selection of games out for it. And a good chance that the slim versions will look better

Both machines have similar hardware but one is significantly more powerful.

Adding more sparks will be a breeze, don't worry.
 
The more I read about this console the more I'm starting to wonder if they've even thought of going toe to toe with Sony in terms of computing power.

Are they really thinking of Sony or a case of what Apple & Google might be doing? Not in terms of consoles, but this notion of owning your living room.
 
One thing that has also been mentioned is that the XO (or whatever) is that it wont ship with a headset, you will use kinect 2 as your mic. So how many people are going to shout "Xbox Off" at their kinect and shut down the whole parties XOs? (ok it wont happen like this) Strangely enough though Sony are shipping the PS4 with a mono headset :confused:
