**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

lol, while i'm guessing the original question was referring to a proper fixed steering wheel, I believe the kinect tracking is true.

It's cool the way it recognises the controller via IR and also detects the splitscreen setup based on the persons position. Makes Sony's colour coding look embarrassingly old school.

Been waiting forever for him to do this :D. Still think his PS4 Abridged one is better :p.

It's cool but the Wii did that like 5 years ago or something :p.

It was more to do with the fact he was comparing wobbling a controller about to a proper racing wheel :D.

Ive been reading this thread all day. Cant you people wait till E3 to make your mind up.
Just look at the 360 and PS3. PS3 is better graphically and cosmetically IMO but I prefer the pad of the 360 and the online of the 360.

Yes the XboxOne is a little disappointing but it does have it pros. from looking at a few pics of the PS4 the camera is on the console meaning that it will need to be under your TV. If you have a wall mounted TV and the attachments (Sky, DVD player etc) are to one side, the PS4 be ideal for this.

Also with the kinect if you dont want to use it either stick it behind the TV unit or just cut the cable. I for one use my kinect and think its good. Saves my battery life as I can just flick through Sky or whatever.

The footage of EA Sports' Ignite engine shown at today's Xbox One reveal event was pre-rendered using assets from Electronic Arts' next-gen FIFA, Madden, NBA Live and UFC games, says Andrew Wilson, executive vice president of EA Sports.

Asked whether snippets of real-time gameplay were featured in the teaser for FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, NBA Live 14 and EA Sports UFC, Wilson said no and explained the reasoning behind its Xbox One showing.

"It was all pre-rendered," Wilson told Polygon. "Listen, we're not hiding behind that fact. This was an event that we've been planning for a number of months on a new platform. And what we wanted to do was use real game assets, so they're all real game assets, straight out of our game teams, but we had to get it into a format that would be usable in this style of event.

So other than COD which looked underwhelming, nothing was actually running on the Xbox One.

btw, this hardly looks like the two are similar..

You cant cut the cable on kinect 2, its required for the XO to function. How do you mean the PS4 camera is on the console? As far as i have seen its just connected via USB cable?

What Ive been told and shown is that the camera is on the console itself. Now I dont know how true this is but it looked convincing to me. In theory its a good idea as theres no need for any cables.

I was joking about cutting the cable but you could just show it somewhere out of the way. You can still use the pad to work the console surely.

it just plugs in with a cable..

Is the power supply built into the Xbox One? can't find anything about it! I really hate the massive block the 360 has with it.

External PSU I suspect, there doesn't look to be one in the photos of the internals, and the power connector on the back looks proprietary.

so suddenly it's ok for not having a included headset, something the ps3 got slated for last gen, seems Sony is the one doing the right thing this time, another + for gamers
Not sure they've said it won't include a headset have they? I haven't seen any info on the bundles so I could have missed it.

check my post on the previous page. It is almost confirmed that the PS4 will be 50% faster than the xbox one unless the xbox guys do some serious overclocking.

With the heat problems of the 360 i seriously doubt that that will happen
