**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Wifes who know gaming, its got its ups and downs.

Yup. On one hand I have a co-op partner for when I'm playing Diablo. On the other hand, I have someone who wants me to get involved when she puts Zumba Fitness on. That's when I develop a sudden urge to go and do something on the PC!

Looks quite nice. Looking at that pic though, I'm worried it won't fit in my house....

:p

More excited after JonnyMendoza's write up - don't have a problem with fifa just looking better, but dead rising sounds good and obviously forza is not going to be a disappointment to anyone, thats my 3 launch games Im getting anyway.

None of that is overly surprising tbh. If MS have allocated 10% of the GPU for the OS, then I'm sure a program/game using it would cause instabilities. His suggestion that things will improve as developers get to grips with ESRAM just go along with what I've been thinking (and saying) for a while.

Anyone know how you can spilt a framebuffer over multiple memory pools? Read something insane a few days ago that DP has just jogged where it might be attempted over eSRAM and DDR3 - I dont understand how that is possible considering the differing bandwidths without some serious management prepping DDR3 ahead of eSRAM population.

Perhaps I got the wrong end of the stick, anyway interesting way to go about things...

ps3ud0

That's pretty obvious and the same with any console. Just look at GTA V vs the launch titles to see how the utilisation of the hardware improves

Indeed. It's just common sense that over the life time of a console the developers will be able to harness extra power from it. I'm can't wait to see what the future holds on both consoles.

Without wanting to sound elitist I think the worst thing about most of the launch titles is that they're multi-platform titles which are also out for the ps3/360. Because of that the devs are inherently limited to simply tweaking the graphics slightly rather than utilising the extra power/memory to actually move things forward and improve AI/gameplay.
