**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Not bad graphics, poor animations.

Does a headset come with the console? the amount of money I am spending on extras and games is a joke.

Yes, you get a standard headset in the box. Do you not research what you about to spend a lot of money on? :p

Just watched some new videos of Ryse, and I thought it looked pretty good :o

Just seems like a less mythical God of War, which is no bad thing.

Yup, that's what I thought. I know it could be repetitive, but I like hack n slash games as a whole, which is why it appeals. I'm getting so many games though I can easily afford to wait and see if it drops in price before picking it up.

So how long do you guys think it'll be before they release a wireless headset for the X1 like the bluetooth one they have at the moment. I don't need/want a big headset for the xbox because I only use it for chat and I know the wire dangling from the controller will really start to annoy me after a while?

Been tempted back into the XBox market now, are any sites/stores still offering release day delivery or is it all 'guarenteed by Christmas' now? :(

well my order description says:

Includes:

Xbox One Console

Kinect

Commemorative Controller

Exclusive Achievement

HDMI Cable
And this is day one edition. Kind of assumed it did come with one but just needed to double check.

If anyone is a member of Costco, they are doing a really good deal - http://www.costco.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/cos_4,cos_4.2,cos_4.2.2/159714

Meant to mention here if you chose an Xbox One and was worried about the COD 720p thing it seems it may not have been such a bad thing after all. It seems PS4 is suffering from significant performance problems and frame rate drops running it at 1080p. Whilst if all other things are equal you may as well have a higher native res it looks like going for a 1080p headline may have been a mistake for Sony in terms of gameplay. Having said that it handed them yet another marketing coup and PS4 not coping well with COD at 1080p seems to be being quietly swept under the carpet and laid at IWs door as poor coding as opposed to the howls of "XO sucks" when XO was in the same position and decided to go for upscaling 720p to 1080p to ensure steady frame rate and game play.

Original post with links to reviews in the which console will you chose thread

The upshot is unless you're counting pixels 1080p vs other resolutions isn't necessarily the be all and end all despite being great click bait and making for a sensational headline.

Soooo, do you clear away the 360/PS3 from under the TV, wipe away 5 years of dust that have accumulated under it, tidy the cables and have the spot ready for your shiny new XO on the day it's due to arrive, or, wait for it to turn up before you clear a space? :D

I folded and watched that dead rising vid, wish i hadnt cause im thinking of adding it to my pre-orders now.

Dont think DR3 will be in the bargin bin after xmas, but when will i have time to play all these games?

Im going to be lucky if i still get launch weekend off work now that my boss knows what its for hes saying hes going to cancel my holiday cause i need to "grow up".
£$%^$

So him being a sex tourist is acceptable but me playing on a gaming console with my wife isnt?

What kind of job is it where your boss can cancel holidays you're entitled to do whatever you want with (as long as you give enough notice)? I think I'd laugh in my bosses face if he even tried to suggest he could do that :D

Just wait for the normal XO haters to show up, as many of us have said before, solid gameplay > graphics
