**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

6 controllers? That's insane hah. I've been using the same wireless controller for the past 3 years! :p

I know but that was before i got married so a lot of credit goes to her for calming me the **** down:p
But the one controllers are too nice to throw around and if i broke one, i think ill end up crying lol.

Well the compressed air changed the sound, lol

It sounds like the 360 jet engine??:p

If it's anything like the Xbox 360 and Windows 8.1 integration you simply right click on video files on your PC and select Play To. The Xbox One should show up as a device.

In my experience this works great with the 360 (actually prefer it to almost every other media streaming method I've ever tried). It plays everything I have thrown at it except for mkv files.

You need to use the PC to send the media to the Xbox though. I take things to the next level and use Splashtop Remote Desktop on my Macbook Air to connect to the PC from the same room as my 360!

Thanks for the reply. I have right clicked a movie and I do get the option to play to Xbox One.

However this is not really what I want. I want to be able to do what I did with my 360 i.e use the Xbox One to find the movies on my PC and choose which one I play. The 360 if I remember correctly used the Video app and found the PC on the network that way.

You cant do that JaseUK - dno if that will be fixed/improved - hopefully third party media serving XO apps will turn up soon...

ps3ud0

In a nutshell you can't do it like you could on the 360 (assume this will get changed in the future) and the Xbox One will only act as a reciever. You can use a 3rd party app as a 'remote' to initiate the stream.

Updating now, sadly my 1.5Mbps internet (new estate, no FTTC here yet) means I probably won't be getting much gaming done today by the sounds of this 6GB update for Forza. Very sleek and can't hear it over the slight hum the YouView box makes.

Hey guys i heard you like xbox1, so I plugged your xbox 1 into your xbox1 so you can game while you game

Trailer for future XB1 games...obviously there's a mixture of multi plats just incase anyone thinks I'm assuming all are exclusives lol.

Some good games in there, Halo is a definite buy for me and probably plants vs zombies which looks pretty awesome. Titanfall is another ill get as well.

Oh noes!

Is everything ok with yours? Looking forward to seeing your opinion/review on games.
Yup, all is good so far. Had a quick go on Dead Rising but the wife enjoys watching it so I'm just installing NBA 2K to play until she gets home. Incredibly quiet, I really would struggle to know it was on at times. Voice commands work fairly well too. Overall very impressed so far, and really looking forward to having the PS4 next to it when it arrives.

Lol the smallest thing bugs me, spent last 15 minutes trying to find out how to put friend online notification a but cannot find it! If it's been removed that's stupid as good to keep on track with who comes online

It's frustrating hearing of stock levels in high streets shops and the places you pre order from don't get any in. Grr.

That's why I seldom pre-order. It's the same with anything these days. iPad, got one at lunch time launch day, GTA5, picked it up on the way to work. Could've picked one or three XB1 last night as there are three 24 hrs supermarkets around me.

I've not seen stock shortage for anything on launch for absolutely ages.
