Although it isn't quite what you hoped for it is a very reliable method for media streaming and handles video files that I had problems with when using other methods such as PS3 Media Server. No doubt it will be even more reliable when using the Xbox One as the hardware has more grunt.
The PS4, on the other hand, has literally zero DLNA capability. I have one pre ordered but am seriously considering going for the Xbox One now due to this.
You know the PS4 DLNA is coming in a future update, right?

not sure if i should ring up argos and complain or just complain to microsoft about my broken pad.I cant even go argos and swap for diffrent console because its online only and out stock.

Yeah I do. I really would like an indication of when it'll be coming though. All a bit vague at the moment.
It's local to you, I always watch their unprofessional Fridays and the time displayed on the side is always GMT for me. Their PS4 livestream started at 7pm GMT too.
It'll be one of the first things I do when mine arrives in about 30 minutes.
Shame we don't get the full experience like the yanks do, but it'll do for now

/sigh its looking highly unlikely that my XO is going to arrive today Going to have a go at Amazon when I get home. Paid for One day delivery I expect it on release.... not monday after, otherwise I would have just gone for the cheaper shipping option.
UPS have 40min's to deliver it before I go home.... "fingers crossed" they manage it. But I am not optimistic considering the tracker still says Order Processed: Ready for UPS

I tried Sky, works OK but obviously apart from HDMI there is no integration. I like the ability to control the actual TV though.
Unfortunately HDMI pass through doesn't work with the console off, which is what I was hoping for. I've stuck my Roku through it instead as that gets less use than Sky.
