**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

When playing last night, it was kind of awful. There was lag, graphical issues and what appeared to be major FPS drops in certain places. Has anyone/is anyone experiencing this too?

Finally, can't get chat to work in party - seems to only allow one person to switch on chat and not the rest - again quite annoying - anyone got a fix for this?

There are some graphics bugs atm in BF4, worst I've seen are the laser sights painting the landscape, or a black inky smear across the terrain that clears as you move. Also there are some FPS drops but not to many, they seem worse in wooded area's were tree's are regularly getting felled.

[EDIT] I forgot to add the worst effect, they have some sort of weird pixel shader effect that makes the whole screen looks like it's in 3D without the glasses, I can't tell if it intentional or a bug, all I know is it give me a headache!

I've turned my Network Compensation down to 0% (50% default) which helped with the responsiveness of the game a lot so if you have a good connection make sure you try that (it felt laggy before I did that).

Party chat I haven't got working yet. I've seen people say its down to the NAT but mines open, I've even put my Xbox in the DMZ, but my friends not to clued up. Going to get him to disable/reboot and re-enable his upnp on his router tomorrow to clear down its upnp table to see if it's a conflict with that, but there appears to be no silver bullet fix atm.

We've been using Skype in the background for voice chat.

Think I've had an issue similar to what Anticonscience experienced on launch day. Twice last night my XO wouldn't boot, front button did nothing, using the pad did nothing as did the voice commands.

Unplugged it completely from power and then it was OK until I turned it off again. The Kinect seemed to "lock" and stay on. the white microphone indicator and 3 red LEDs all stayed lit. Again, same issue when trying to boot up, console wouldn't start unless unplugged completely from the power.

Seemed fine this morning though, but I've a feeling it's the instant-on mode playing funny beggars, I did have the quick-game resume function turned on in options which says it's in BETA, so I might try disabling that again.

This, I thought it was just mine! Makes my eyes feel strange when it does it...but I can't quite understand why it is used as at first I thought it was when an explosion happens but just seems to be random...

Thirded... I spent ages looking for an option to turn that off... stupid stupid effect.

So, the missus has confirmed what I pretty much knew (and hinted at for ages), an Xbox One is lined up for Christmas. Much yay.

Anyone know if MS will still be releasing downloadable system updates? Think i saw the MS website a few days back had its content removed. Cant think of much worse than waiting for what will be 2-3 system (and game) updates on Xmas. (on an 8mbit conx)

Mine is almost half that...:( The joys of living in the countryside.

A link for the above would also be appreciated!

I set up my new Xbox last night and I had to download an update last night which was about 500mb and took me an hour on my 2.6mb connection. RYSE took about 1.5hrs to be ready to play after googling how long it took to install ppl were saying as part of the install it needed to download a patch.

Well, during a 64 man game, some big building fell down and I suffered what I would describe as a major, major fps drop.

Also, in some aspects the graphics seem worse that in BF3, and the hit detection and bullet damage seem awful too.

Does anyone else agree, and has anyone else suffered problems on 64 man games?
