So MS want to know what channels you watch whilst forcing you to connect a camera, mic and be connected to the Internet via a heavily encrypted connection to which you don't have the key.

They also want to charge you about 50 quid a year for the privilege....

You have to be a complete mug to even consider it surely?

As in a proper mug.

No different to my mobile phone, surely?

Also ... why does the cost of Live go up with every attack on the xbox? It is no where near £50 a year, jesus. It takes what, 30 seconds to check this? £35 a year or your account details stolen and almost a month solid of no online play at all? Tough choice, honesty. :rolleyes:

Guarantee it. By the time this thread dies Live will be costing £950 a month.

My phone I have complete access to the file structure and can analyse data communications.

The Xbone is closed and completely encrypted inside and out.

You've been raging at anyone who will listen that you don't want an Xbox one and yet can't quite bring yourself to not keep posting in a thread about xbox one.

Im sorry but having kinect hooked up to your 360/XboxONE is hardly akin to Microsoft turning into a covert intelligence gathering company.


I'm sat here now typing to you on a laptop, I have a webcam constantly pointing at my face, and I'm running windows 7.

I wonder, Are microsoft quietly stealing pictures of me sat here right now? hope not, I'm just out of the bath =\

I did want the next MS console, hell you'll even find me to be a big fan of Windows 8 round here.

You'd have to be a complete fool to even touch it as it stands.

The machine is encrypted, the network is encrypted and the user requirements to even get it to play the stuff you have paid for are off the charts.

Not sure if serious? Who designs a global network serving tens of millions and doesn't expect to get hacked? Live pays towards maintenance and upgrades, PSN just doesn't have access to the money to do that. Sony also has much less incentive to keep the PSN in tip-top condition, its a free service after all, Microsoft HAVE to look after it to keep the Gold subscriptions coming in.

Is your laptop encrypted, and it's data communications encrypted and you don't have the key?

Live was shut down for 2 weeks recently due to "technical issues."
