**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

The Xbox One will sell by the millions, the PS4 will too. It's fanboyism, the same as Apple vs Android.

I hope to own both consoles at some point and the only reason I buy a console - both or just one - is for the exclusive games. The tech specs mean nothing to me, they are what they are. It's all about which developer can squeeze all the power from a console and make an awesome exclusive title. As for multiplats, it depends on the game type but if PC is an option then I'd most likely go for that. A good example is Titanfall which is Xbox and PC only.

I think of myself as an avid gamer so I'm not bias, I hope to own both platforms.

Titanfull is on Xbox One exclusive for now, for 1 reason and that is money its the same reason its on PC, its the reason why its on 360, it'll be the reason why it comes to PS3/4.

EA put out rehashs of Fifa on portables with no new gameplay, just new Kits/rosters etc, you really think they won't put out a potential CoD/BF4 beater on playstation? MS have big pockets, but not that big ;)

its a mute point anyway nobody will know for sure til EA/respawn say so, but seriously EA are money grabbers, just look at the new sim city "expansion" for another example.

Personally I think the MS PR machine should just shut up and let the console do the talking when it comes out. Its going to sell anyway and then some objective comparisons can be made if they need to

agree - if GTA has put away a billion in sales and Titanfall seems to be the next game people have good things to say then MS are only going to keep it off the PS4 for a while before they decide that they cannot ignore 50% of the next gen customer base. Its all about the money

I'll get both consoles and even if the XB1 is less powerful it's still the one I am looking forward to more because of the line up of games. I prefer Sony as a company but I buy consoles for games and MS has the much stronger launch window titles based on the types of games I enjoy.

I think GTA V and The Last Of Us have clearly shown that utterly involving game worlds can be made with current hardware so getting hung up on tech specs seems a bit pointless when both the XB1 and PS4 trounce the current consoles.

Titanfall 2 will be out by then. Everyone will be opting for that.

Unless titanfall 2 is coming to ps4, it'll make no difference to the PS4 only users though?

If they get titanfall and it's a good game. It'll surely get as much play time as it will as an XboxONE timed exclusive.

A sequel being released on a different console will impact that how?

Im getting the XB1 for sure, the only downside for me is i cant use my 360 steering wheel for the XB1. They arent exactly small things to just have laying around the house if need one for each of my consoles, already have one for 360 and PS3, now XB1 and possibly PS4:(

Perhaps I took the extreme of your argument, anyway if people have an issue with me or my posting/bashing (not saying you are saying that Davey_Pitch :p), they know where the report button is and I welcome them to use it...

Judging you from the FIFA thread mainly you do seem to know your stuff , even if sometimes you are generally negative of EA. However I personally find yr posts refreshing and informative a bit like TWfox of the console forum :D

However your constant signing off with ps3ud0 irritates the life out of me and I recall having a pop many years ago.

Divaboy.

The thing is its an old habit for back when forums didnt have user searches so was just easier to add the tagline to help searching; its just an old habit that reminds me of good old times, nothing more than that - its definitely not self-importance - normally my posts convey that :p

But thanks for the compliment

My interest in the console has started to waiver recently. Just all the talk and backtracking Microsoft have been doing is making me wonder if its worth just splashing 500 odd on a gfx card and be done with it. :(

Been a big xbox fan since the original xbox. Just got a weird feeling that this one is gonna end up in remorse, which isn't good as with launch games the total is up to around £700.

Lol, go easy on the launch title pre-orders! By all means order a game to play when the console arrives but spending £300 on games you haven't seen any reviews for is asking for serious buyers remorse!

I currently have a PS4 and Xbone on pre-order but haven't ordered any games to go with them (other than the bundled copy of Forza with the Xbox)! The console hardware might be hard to get before Xmas but you'll have no problem picking up the games so I'd seriously suggest waiting until the reviews are out before spending your hard-earned.

I've been burned before wasting cash on launch titles that sucked so I'm not taking the chance again this time :)

I think with a number of games you already know what you'll get and whether you'll like it or not, irrespective of reviews. Looking at the games I've got coming....

Dead Rising 3 - I've loved every game in the series so far and the gameplay videos look awesome
Forza 5 - It's Forza, nuff said
Fifa - Free with console, but I love Fifa so would've bought it anyway
Battlefield 4 - It's a near PC BF experience on the console, that'll do me
Watch Dogs - Every video so far points to it being amazing
Lego Marvel - I've enjoyed every Lego game so far, and the wife is paying for it, so I'm happy enough

The only launch title I wanted but I'm holding off on is Ryse, as I do want to wait for reviews before committing to buying it.

I've got along with the console and extra pad with charge kit. Forza, Dead Rising, Call of Duty, Watch Dogs as well as Fifa with the console.

It soon adds up! :P

Must admit DR3 is the only xbox exclusive I liked the look of. But I'm not a fan of open world - wandering around for yonks - sort of games so it could get a bit tedious.
Forza I-ve never touched - pails in comparison to Gran Tourismo ;)
BF4 - FPS are always better on PC - mouse/keyboard combo is unbeatable.
Lego Marvel - NOW your talking lol! - love the Lego series too, my kids are addicted to Lego Batman 2 at the moment and it just gets caned all day long if my son has his way (4 yr old!). Looking forward to Marvel but I believe its coming to current gen too and not just next gen hence why I'm thinking of waiting on the next gen consoles till after maybe xmas.....
