**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Got a release day console guaranteed but they are saying I do not have
a day one edition console
Is it only day one edition consoles that get the digital FIFA download ??
 
I'm pretty certain that is wrong, to my knowledge all of the pre-orders have FIFA (or Forza if you changed it) and not just day one editions.
 
Day one editions come with either forza or Fifa from factory. Normal editions its up to the retailer to include the game.

Pretty sure it was that Larry chap that said that.
 
The thing is, I was under the impression that every console pre-ordered (and delivered) would be a Day One edition. I didn't realise that they only had a specific number of Day One edition consoles to sell, and after that people who pre-ordered would get a "standard" edition console instead.

I keep contemplating cancelling my pre-order too but then I think about all the exclusives like Forza5, TitanFall, Halo plus the fact it should last me 5+ years.

There seems to be a lot of negative PR going around about the Xbone just now but at the end of the day it's Microsoft's gaming platform of choice for the next decade. I'd almost certainly buy it at some point in future so, funds permitting, why not grab it at launch!
 
Cancelled my pre-order. Can't justify it this side of Xmas and the Watch Dogs announcement was the final nail really. :(

I'll get one, but it won't be until spring time most likely, but then with Dark Souls 2 coming out on 360 at that time...:cool:

Titanfall is also on PC & 360 :)

I feel the same as though I wasn't interested in watch dogs. There's too much coming through on the 360 and not enough of interest in the next 4 months to think of paying top price at launch for the games and console.

Giantbomb did a review of console launches a few weeks ago and went through launch titles of previous and next systems. The 360 got a slating for launch titles but for me it's far better than the Xbone titles.

For me none of them are titles I'd want to pay £40 or more for, just to have a console at launch.
 
The only real reason I want to buy one at least at launch is so I can say I have one......now Watch Dogs has been delayed (cancelled :p) it makes my choice that little harder, I mean I have the money to spend on it, but the only games I can see I want now at launch will be Dead Rising 3 and Ghosts (will also have either Forza 5 or Fifa 14).

Is it worth it?
 
Kill zone, bf4, fifa and dead rising will tide me over for a while. I'm not overly fussed about watch dogs being delayed. I don't think one game that would take a few days to complete is a good enough reason to cancel my pre orders.

The bigger question for me is it worth getting ghosts on the next gen or wait to play the next gen cod in 12 months?

The player base will be far higher on the 360 this time around and cod tends to be a xmas to around feb game then it tails off. I think the xbone cod userbase will be very small. So personally I don't list ghosts as a reason to buy.

CoD is generally my go to MP game though, I agree the player numbers on XO could be tiny to start with, so I guess it makes sense to go 360 first.
