**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

It's entirely possible that Sony did tell IW that COD has to be 1080p, especially with some of the adverts they're been running. However, if it does have framerate issues, the blame still lies with IW as the PS4 is easily capable of running the game at a stable FPS. It'll just be, as mentioned above, that they've rushed it out (probably for the 5th November date) rather than give it the extra couple of weeks it probably needs to iron out any technical issues.
Agreed. I suppose my original point was that for XO users the drop to 720p may have been a good thing compared to PS4 sticking with 1080p rather than the bad thing it was painted as despite the headline. Of course as I said all other things being equal having a higher native res would be desirable.

12th I think. Sony should have probably done the same with the PS4 version, it'd have stopped these pointless arguments before the hardware is even on the market.

As if that will work, it'd be like having a "Bullying Area" outlined in chalk in a playground. You really think condoning the behaviour in one thread is going to stop it spilling out into the rest?

It might do if I start deleting posts everywhere else. I'm getting incredibly sick of seeing nearly every thread about something next gen descend into a power debate between the consoles.

Its a valid debate - the issue is how its being conducted, just like any fanboy discussion...

ps3ud0

Consistently where? at the same stages of the game or consistently throughout the game? If the latter you would have a point, if it's at certain set pieces or at unusually loaded scenes then no.
Dunno, just going from the reviews.. YMMV

One specific moment I was able to replicate multiple times on PS4 was a campaign scene that ran smoothly on Xbox 360 and PS3, while the game chugged On PlayStation 4. These frame rate hitches happen throughout the campaign on PS4

I'm not saying it's not a valid debate at all, just sick of seeing it everywhere.
Surprising the amount of fevered shouting posting something as simple as "PS4 reported as having frame rate problems on COD so maybe dropping XO to 720p could have actually been a good thing" can generate in the XO thread of all places. Who'd of thunk it. ;):D

To be fair, you probably should've just posted that in the COD thread :p

So it's not consistently throughout the game which you were alluding to but rather consistently one specific moment within the game...

Then I go back to my earlier point of " if FPS drop at certain set pieces or at unusually loaded scenes then no"

Maybe I'm reading it differently but is says "These frame rate hitches happen throughout the campaign on PS4" as well as one specific point where it could be recreated every time.

Sucky code though, XO should be able to run it at 1080p no problem so for the undeniably more powerful GPU in PS4 it should be a no brainer.

Who cares about CoD honestly? I'm playing Ghosts on my 360 at the moment and It's pretty crap, the single player is so blase. If Destiny comes out and is gimped on the X1 compared to PS4 THEN I'll start to worry.
