As stated many times it’s daft to compare FLOPs between different GPU architectures.

Memory speed isn’t needed for the target resolution of the S.

These idiotic spec comparison posts all over Reddit are always misinterpreted as they never come with any explanations.

The One X cannot run Gears 5 at 1440p120 like the Series S can.

The X is one of hell of a chonker!

I think we'll find it a lot smaller in reality due to it's small depth - it's actually got a smaller footprint on your desk than the Gamecube!

Its not designed for 4k so why would it??

I really like the size of the S . The X looks smaller than I expected. Slightly taller than two GCs stacked.

Xbox series x $499. So converting this to £s would be approximately £389.

Are we really going to see this console around £400 Or will they do a dirty and have it at £499??

It was already confirmed yesterday and is even in the thread title. UK price £449

Digital Foundry talk about Series S. I'm about to watch, I don't think it's the tech breakdown video as mentioned by Microsoft though.

Incredible price point for both machines. Very interested to see how Sony respond.
I wasn’t planning on getting a new console this year but the pricing is so keen that I may change my mind. Well done MS!

I really want an RTX3080 but at the same time the Xbox price is so tempting, can even get it 29 quid a month with game pass ultimate.

That really is a good price isn’t it. I was expecting £500 at least. Sony has to follow suit or come in a little cheaper.

For £450 I think ill just go Series X rather than build another PC. Been PS almost exclusively but can't see PS5 competing this time. Game pass looks great and cross play with PC along with Android looks too good to miss. Will wait to see what Sony offer but I expect they're sweating right now.

My hope was that the ps5/Xbox would be £399-499. Microsoft have come out first with a really good price.

I would be surprised if the ps5 comes out drastically higher than that but who knows. If they are higher then I’m out till the price drops unfortunately. Have to consider The price of the console and a game to play on it.
