Yes, this is the only reason I haven't cancelled one of them yet. I just like how easy returns are with Amazon should I have a problem. I'm guessing Microsoft is a 30 day turnaround type thing?

If using the Brazil codes, connect to a VPN with a server in Brazil and check your IP location shows you as being in that country.

Go to microsoft.com/redeem in an incognito window to avoid any saved logins, login to your MS account and redeem the live codes, do not accept the free month for renewing if you want to add 3 years as it will take you over the max 36 months.

Log out, turn VPN off and then either use the xbox app or website to use the £1 upgrade offer. If you have already had a game pass sub you can buy a 1 month Ultimate code from CD Keys for £8.99 and just add that on the xbox app. It will say you are buying 1 month of ultimate but if you check your subscriptions after it will be prepaid until however months of Gold you had.

It's only when you add Gold to an Ultimate sub that you get the rubbish conversion and existing customers with an expired gamepass sub can do the same thing but they might not have the £1 offer so just use a 1 month prepaid code instead.

Yeah I was looking to get one on All Access but it was more a case of, if I get one I get one, if I don't I don't *shrugs*

It still works as far as I know, the brazil gold codes have got a bit more expensive though.
 
I had Game, Smyths, Currys and Argos open.

All but Argos fell over, with the added issue of Currys not even having the console available for general access on their website.

At first I thought it was naughty but then figured it might be a good thing to combat the bots trawling the web.

I have now managed to pre order both the PS5 and Series X from Argos.

I had an email immediately confirming my PS5 order followed by a text the next day. Wasnt going to bother with PS5 until I can get a black one but for the price I can hide it behind the TV! (I went with the digital edition).

Had an email for Series X order but no text yet. Hopefully it will come through within the next 24hrs.

I guess now its just suck it and see whether anything turns up on release day.
 
I didn't bother with the sweaty pre-order race. I'm hoping my work have an extra discount day around the Christmas period and by then any kinks with software should be sorted. 20% off the top of either console is nothing to be sniffed at.

Yeah I did say stolen from another member. Similar thread on ukhotdeals but you laid it out more clearly. Thanks bud, saved me £200. :)

I was worried it would end after I bought the console and I'd be paying £10.99 which is still a decent deal. This can't be beaten though and I have 2 years of gaming for the price of a single game pretty much.

Ha no worries, I just rewrote what others had done to make it clearer.

I've split mine with a mate so we have effectively paid just over a £1 each per month for ultimate :D
 
Just looking on ebay and people are selling the series X for £550...whats the point? As won't the fees be about £50 or so? Seems like a waste of time.

yes it’s pointless at that sort of profit as at 10% cut you’re out, then there is the postage so easily another £10-£15 for decent postage considering the weight and cost.

then there's the risk of scammers robing you blind (karma laughs) - IMO not worth the risk unless you got dozens to sell
