Oooh... Xbox Series S crashed this morning during the firmware POST. During the Xbox logo, the sound hung and the console flashed and restarted itself. Hope that's not a sign of something serious. It came back on perfectly normal second time around though.
Nope, their games don't run in a virtualized environment like Xbox titles do.
That’s never been the case, only OG+360 games as said. I bet long time members have got a really nice library of 360 games.
AMD have supply problems with the 7nm APUs. Production capacity will increase after June.
How far have people pushed the Xbox refunds for digital purchases ? I keep buying games then getting buyers remorse. I’ve already refunded two games last week and now want to do two more. I have purchased and downloaded them yesterday but not played for more than a few minutes.
It seems similar to Steam, purchased within 14 days and not played for too long.
IIRC, you can only see that if you are on a 120Hz display.
Yup me too. The last system software update has really mucked things up in the stability department. Mine crashes at startup now every 3rd power on or so.
I bought a Series S on 23rd December. Started doing the rewards points on both the web and the console and I've almost amassed £50. Incredible if you ask me. By this time next year, I should have nearly half the cost of a Series X so it's well worth doing.
Can someone have a look at Disney+ on Xbox Series X and tell me if it does 4K playback? Star Wars Episode IX should be 4K but I can only see it as HD on Xbox Series S (console is in a HDMI 2.0 port).
Thanks, it also says in the app settings where you can pick how much data to use, that HD is max. So I'm guessing you need an Apple TV or the Disney+ app on your TV itself to get 4K video.
There's going to be some kind of special event later this month, I think, which will give us all the gubbins on what's going to happen. It's quite exciting!

If only they could go back to some of the older titles and get them to 4K60, that would be the icing on the cake.
And that’s where Xcloud streaming comes in on your phone, tablet, desktop, notebook, TV, eventual USB stick.
That’s the only downside but then of course more than half the Xbox One library (guessing) will not have X enhancements so won’t look any better on XSX either. I don’t regret buying my XSS one bit but I feel like I’m missing out and will need to get XSX at some point.
With these now being first party games, the newer ones stand a good chance of being recompiled with the GDK and getting proper X|S optimisations rather than just BC Enhanced.
