Zoinks! I don't know what Microsoft have done with their cloud streaming but decided to have a quick session of Star Wars Jedi whatever it is before the new one comes out. Playing via Xbox Series S on my folks' big 75" screen and it was absolutely flawless. Slight judder now and again with the frame rate it seemed but the graphical quality, well I could have been fooled it was playing on an actual Series X console!

Hi all,

Need a little help, got my son an Xbox series x for his birthday and I also have a series x.

Iv been told that if I sign into his Xbox and set myself as 'home Xbox' then my son signs into my Xbox and sets himself as 'home Xbox' he will be able to access all of the games pass games / play at the same time etc?

Is this right?

If you are the one with the subscriptions then only the first step is needed. You sign into son's Xbox and set it as Home. He doesn't need to go anywhere near yours unless he has subscriptions/games of his own that you want to play on your Xbox.

Perfect,

Yes I have all the subscription to game pass etc,
So to confirm all I need to do is set myself up on my sons xbox as Home they he can access all the games pass stuff.

Will we both be able to play together etc?

Thanks!

Yes, the only time you won't is if you can't connect to the internet on your Xbox (because it's no longer your home console you'll need to be online at all times).

Another thing IIRC, is that your son won't be able to install games from Game Pass himself or use Xbox Cloud streaming. So if he wants to play something new, you'd have to log in and install it to the system first.

It’s not great at the moment is it.

- What happened to the FPS boost program, it just stopped?

Was only thinking about that myself this afternoon. Xbox Series X|S started off with a big bang, FPS boost for older games, 1080p upscaling to 4K for Xbox One games (which has never happened) and then it all started to fizzle out especially with Microsoft plugging Series S continuously and treating Series X like an unwanted stepchild. Now everything just seems to be in the doldrums.

Aaagh, I wonder if I've made a boob. I just converted Microsoft Rewards points into Xbox credit so that I could buy the new Fall Guys season pass (for free, in effect) but of course, I have no Xbox to play it on now. I thought with cross-play being enabled that the purchase would propagate across all platforms (playing on PC) but it seems I need to launch the Xbox version first. Bloody hell.

EDIT: Microsoft gave me a refund so back in business.

Anyone else experiencing xbox reward point quests/cards/xbox game pass quest app rewards not available ? Bing still works but the android app and xbox daily/weekly rewards that were there usually are gone..

Yup the whole thing has been up the swanny for about a month now. I can see one set of quests when connected to home wifi and another set when on cellular. I lost an 850 day streak because of website issues. I just accept it for what it is (a broken mess) and just do what I can.

Just seen my first non-gamepass game available for cloud gaming. I picked up Railway Empire 2 for cheap and then when I went to install it I saw that it had both the standard download symbol as well as the cloud gaming symbol with the ability to play it from the cloud with gamepass ultimate... It seems that new games may start to become avialble for cloud play if you own them even if they're not on gamepass itself... hopefully this is the start of the release of all games via cloud play if you own them.

Uhm, it got added to Game Pass this week. :D

The Starfield deep dive was very impressive but it seems that there is so much going on, there's going to be an awful lot of bugfixing after release. Disappointed there was nothing from Gears.

Anyone here doing MS Rewards and had their accounts blocked from redeeming any points? I've been doing the same thing for years (no VPNs, only one account, no search bots) and yesterday came to buy an Xbox gift card and computer says no. Sent an email to support, which came back in French saying I had six accounts and the ban wouldn't be lifted!!!!

Further research on Reddit suggests it's something affecting lots of people out there and the support email is sent by a bot to put people off.

Saw the same on Reddit weeks ago, figured they would have fixed it by now.

Ah, now I know it's a complete load of balls

Par conséquent, vos commandes ont été annulées, tous les points accumulés sur vos comptes ont été annulés, toutes les commandes de prix en attente ont été annulées et vous n’êtes pas autorisé à participer au programme Microsoft Rewards.

Which roughly says all your accumulated points have been voided which is clearly wrong as my balance is still intact and I can still gather points just not spend them.

I would have done but looks like I missed it?

Yup, last night at 7.30pm. I rage quit half way through - 1st round Forza - don't play it, 2nd round Hellblade - don't play it, 3rd round - Sea of Thieves - don't play it. So I just gave up when I dropped lower than 1000th place and cheered myself up by watching snooker instead. :D
