Fair. I've only played Forza out of those so doubt I'd have gone far either! Do they just run it once and done?

It seems to be an annual GamesCom event, yesterday was the fourth running of it in as many years, I think.

When I'm playing Xbox 360 games on my series S it only offers to save save games onto the cloud and not onto the HDD is that normal, is there a way to get it to save onto the HDD?

No, all 360 games save to the cloud in BC mode. I don't know why you would want it otherwise as it's very useful.

Especially when the PS5 is outselling Xbox and seemingly Xbox themselves aren’t releasing an upgrade.

Looks like Xbox is going to get a head start on the next-gen instead. They won't release a "Pro" console but go straight into Gen 10 at least a year before Sony.

So now Microsoft have finally bought Activision / Blizzard are we expecting a big influx of games to game pass soon?

Over the coming months according to Phil Spencer. Probably scant few until 2024.

Just a heads up - Doritos offer 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate (worth £12.99!) for £1.75 bag of chips at the moment. I normally steer well clear of MSG products but just bought a bag anyway so I can play Sniper Elite 5.

I don't think the series S holds back development of series X. It's not like having to support last gen consoles in the sense that they had different hardware architecture.

The series S has the same architecture as in the series X, just at a lower performance target i.e. series x tends to to target 1440p+, but series s is 900-1080p. It supports all the features of its bigger brother, but targets a lower resolution.

That was the original idea but in reality it's proven to be a headache. There is no Baldur's Gate 3 for Xbox yet because the split-screen is tough to implement on Series S. A lot of Series S titles don't have ray tracing that is present on Series X, as another example.

Anyone played Sleeping Dogs on the series/S/X, is the performance good for an old game on the current gen consoles? Its on sale for £3.50 odd on xbox store.

It runs at 1080p60 with FPS Boost on. Great game.

It seems PS5 has had a patch, shame Xbox has been left out.

If it’s stable, and not too much of an issue I may give it a go.. I’ll have a think about it

It’s a shame everything is catered to 4K 30FPS as I would take 2K 60FPS any day of the week

PS5 patch was for Red Dead Redemption 1. Both consoles are running PS4 Pro/Xbox One X code for RDR2.

Indy was like Uncharted 5 or something. I liked the look of the Civilisation-type game best.

Have any of these rumours come from solid sources or is it all just pure speculation.

There's all sorts of stuff flying round at the moment. Will Xbox ditch the hardware and go third party, will they make the hardware but also licence the core spec to third parties to do their own hardware as well (like 3DO), will they bring future AAA(A) titles to PS5, will they go completely digital are just some of the things I've seen.

Anyone with the Bioshock Collection on Series X - Is this considered the Remastered Versions?

Or can you only get the Remasters separately where it states “Remastered”

Yes, it contains Bioshock 1 + 2 Remastered (Xbox One X versions instead of Xbox 360) and BioShock Infinite (Xbox One X)

Looks like Microsoft and Amazon have enabled the Xbox app for older Fire Stick 4K devices now. I have the 2021 edition and have installed the app and connected my controller. Now I just need to enable Game Pass Ultimate.

So there seem to be a fair number of rumours that Sony will release a PS5 Pro later this year. Are there any rumours about an Xbox Series X Pro? That would be pretty awesome.

None whatsoever. They are skipping mid-gen refresh. That's what the Series X is.
