Yes, I play COD Cold War everyday and it's ok. It supports wide FOV, 120hz etc so it's close to the PC version. The main issue is that controller users have aim assist so it's actually harder than you'd think it would be in Multi. I play in xbox lobbies only by disabling cross play.

I also played Metro Exodus through using k&m and that's great, if you've not played it yet I'd hold off as they're releasing a next gen version this year and it has an FOV slider as well as Ray Tracing etc. It's a great single player game.

Gears of War also plays well too, the COD servers were down on Friday and I played it for an hour or so and I found it easier than the controller.

Thanks, thats interesting to know you can disable cross play.

I played Metro on my PC which has been split off and sold now and my Series X has replaced it. I'm itching to play an FPS though. Currently playing Gears 5 but I dont mind using a pad for third person.

What keyboard and mouse are you using?

Been trying to get a Series X for a mate and can't believe its still this difficult after 4 months!

Also, the Game website is just awful...

Ebeyr have stock now but are charging £550 bundled with Watch Dogs and a controller which I'm sure no one wants.

i bit the bullet and gt
I own a PS5, Switch and PC but the idea of some of the backwards compatible games, Dead Space, Fable II ect is tempting me with a Xbox Series. Really i would want the X because of the extra power but truth be told the only thing i would play on a Xbox would be backwards games or the odd exclusive, so basically gamepass games. The S seems to be easier to get and i dont really want to be paying full price for the X for Fable II lol. My question is, is the S worth it? it seems to do the job for what i want but id always go for the higher end spec so im stuck on if i should just wait a while or pull the trigger and get a S.

I bite the bullet and got a S, it will be here tomorrow. Will do the job for GamePass for me.

I'm using the razor turret, it's the official one for the xbox, comes with a built in Lapboard, mech keys and good mouse, expensive but I really like it, it's very compact and I just slide it under the sofa when not in use.

As expected, some games will be exclusives. I wouldn't be surprised though if they were just timed exclusives... I mean, the PlayStation user base is a biiig market to ignore completely!

Some as in Deathloop and Ghostwire as PS5 has 12 months contract already paid also I guess the online MMOs like ESO and FO76. They didn't pay 7.5Bill to keep the status quo, they could have spent a tiny portion of that money to get them on game pass day 1. Bethesda and its studios are now a Xbox 1st party, I would assume most are going to be Xbox/PC/Xcloud exclusive going forward.

Xbox goal is to get people into the ecosystem and into game pass, a subscription to them is worth way more than a sold copy of a game on a competitors platform where they also have to give up 30% to the platform holder.

Giving up 30% is better than not getting the 70%, people are not going to get a Xbox for Bethesda games if they can only have 1 console.

And that’s where Xcloud streaming comes in on your phone, tablet, desktop, notebook, TV, eventual USB stick.

Curating the walled garden and ecosystem is far more important than a few game sales on a rival platform.
