I've had an odd issue with graphical corruption in Cold War since getting a C1 OLED. A couple of times now I'm getting a rainbow effect / flashing thing going on. Seems to stop if I swap the HDMI port over. I'm wondering if it's some kind of bug with VRR/120hz? Not seeing it in other games but not really played much else for long enough to gauge if it's software or hardware.
 
Will prob get a Series X but not seeing much next gen content that makes me want it yet so probably when its a lot cheaper. Might grab a One X for next couple years though to replace original XBone

I would grab a Series S in that case.

The One x is a painfully slow experience due to the lack of SSD and no support for 120fps. Only a few games that had a One X patch but no Series patch play better on it.
 
Seen that Game are doing the trade in an old Xbox for a Series S for £99. Very tempted to trade in my One X which would make it £50 I think, just unsure if it’s going to be a massive enough jump.

For anyone that has a Series S I know a lot of updated games run at 1440p rather than 4K but do they run at 60fps?

I've had series S for couple days, its a solid little console for the money, games load quick, instant resume is pretty cool (although for me not super useful), and console is small and quiet, however a lot of stuff looks kinda blurry/fuzzy on my LG CX so if you have a 4K TV I'd maybe have a think if you can handle older games sometimes being 900p, and newer stuff only being 1080p sometimes

In general the X and S have frame rate parity.

Any old Xbox or XboxOne? I mean I have a OG Xbox I could take in... but £99 for a Series S is good deal... S would be a good GPU upgrade over the One X prob depends what TV you use, 1080 or 4K?

Edit: Couldn’t remember how to insert an image, been a while. Also I would be using it on a 4K tv.
 
How're rewards points people getting on with the 10,000 point challenge? Tomorrow is the last day. I reckon I'll be finishing on about 7,500. I don't have the same enthusiasm as back in January.

Thanks... not quite as good... my XBone 500Gb means add £130 not £100... I guess depends on the RRP of the Series S... I wish Series S was black though or the fan was white... its NOT a pretty console IMHO

I got all 10k about a week ago. Not sure I'll be able to get them all next time, I think I used up all the easy games to get there. It wasn't difficult using guides on youtube.
 
I picked up Metro Exodus second hand in anticipation of the free "next"-gen upgrade. Man it's a beautiful game as-is, but almost unplayable at the current 30FPS. Can't wait for the middle of the month when it gets updated.
