I play destiny 2 a lot and I mean a lot. It’s probably the only game I have on series x even though I’ve tried other games. But for me destiny 2 is my go to game.
You should join a clan as you will end up enjoying it more and will end up doing raids and other end game stuff, that gets you the real good gear ie weapons and armour.
I would second this! destiny 2 is a really good game doing high reward activities either with your mates or in a clan

I'm bloody loving it I really am. Beyond Light is fantastic, really enjoying the feels of Europa and the mental looking Tron vibes in some of the sections.

Any room in your clan?

@rchads89 I hear ya mate, will actively try getting involved.

Going to try out Destiny 2 this weekend as we are back into lockdown . I played D1 on launch day for a bit but didn't love it, I think partly because The Division came out around the same time which I was engrossed in and partly because I much preferred the more real world weapons (apart from needing 3 full mags to drop an enemy of course :p) and story lore.

I'm going to give Destiny 2 one last try. When the game first came out I played maybe halfway through the campaign then fell off it ( I wasn't gaming much at the time ). I tried to return at a later date but everything had changed and I couldn't even find how to get back to my half played campaign. One last try...

Surprised at the selection on XGPU, got The Medium, Outriders, Gears 5.

I managed to get £1 3 month XGPU. renews on the 9th Sept. seemed to be a bit longer than 3 months when I set it up.

Yep it does have its flaws as most games do, mainly pvp is the biggest issue with the game. I don’t mind it too much but for the hardcore pvp players it’s not in a very good place. I’m more pve than pvp and always have been, mainly because I suck at pvp lol.

At the moment no places available as my clan is small and we like to keep it that way. But if you go into the Bungie forums, there’s always clans looking to recruit new players.

I use the internal for X optimised games only, and I've got a 1TB external SSD for non X optimised games plus a 1TB HDD for cold storage. Lots of games installed but still have space left, the external SSD is really quick (Crucial MX500 with a Sabrent adaptor) so I'm happy to use that for anything which doesn't require the internal drive.

I'm pretty much doing this. The biggest space hog is coldwar/warzone at 200 gigs.

How is everyone getting on with the 1TB storage? Are people footing the insanely expensive price for the expansion or just using standard USB storage to move some games to?

I bought 2x 1TB expansion cards and 2x 1TB SSDs for my 2 Xboxes.

I am using 2.2TB of storage on my Series X with all of the single and multiplayer game pass games, but it’s completely pointless as I have 10Gb internet so the games download very quickly.

Would it be terrible games running off a 4TB Seagate extenal HDD?
Would probably depend on the game, if it's a game that preloads a lot of data this will obviously obviously take a lot longer than the internal drive but as long as it's not an optimised game it will work fine.

You may find it somewhat frustrating though if you've been playing that game on the internal drive!

All this talk about external drives has got me wondering if I should keep my Samsung 860 2.5" SSD rather than sell it

Is there a go to dock for the series X?

Will it format the drive because it's got windows installed?

Is it simple enough to shift games around between the two drives and select what drive to download new games to?

Thanks

It's very simple and very quick to move games from SSD to internal. You can choose where to download games to.

Sabrent do a dock for around £9. I have one, works well enough
