Very briefly turned on control "ultimate edition" with series X updates earlier. It can't carry over my save file from the older copy?

Even though I bought as the "ultimate edition" (without upgrades) in November ? Seems odd

The Series X|S version has a lot of the code rewritten so it made it incompatible with older save games.
 
Yeah Control is a very strange one. I bought the ultimate edition on disc and it wouldn't play the x/s version unless the standard edition was also installed so that was a huge chunk of space on the drive. If I deleted the standard edition, even with the disc in the drive it would bring up some error when trying to load the downloaded series x version.

Yeh i have noticed that on my 4K TV too. I quite like it, haven't had a console in a while and nice to have something to play together with the kids, not sure I have really played anything that looks much better than my 1070Ti yet though. Although not impressed that the 512Gb SSD came almost 40% already used..

Thankfully Series X I got is much better but still somethings could be improved, like why is download speeds gimped when playing games (especially single player titles), and also why the hell doesn't it auto install series s/x games onto internal drive like PS5 does

I'm just starting to understand it now, what a fantastic game it is now I'm clicking with it. So much content. Never played Destiny 1. Tried this a few times to get into it but always got confused as to what I was supposed to be doing regarding the complete all over the lace nature of the quests and maps. Only just understanding it now, only just realised you can upgrade the ghost and weapons too lol. On Europa at the moment, having so much fun here. Why did I not play this properly until now.

Single player games don’t use the SSD any less than multiplayer games.
 
Skyrim is a weird one for me. Despite owning the latest edition with all the DLC, whenever I play it I end up just doing the main storyline. I bet I haven't even explored half of what there is to see.

I play destiny 2 a lot and I mean a lot. It’s probably the only game I have on series x even though I’ve tried other games. But for me destiny 2 is my go to game.
You should join a clan as you will end up enjoying it more and will end up doing raids and other end game stuff, that gets you the real good gear ie weapons and armour.
