If you have an xbox and gamepass please download vampire survivors which released on gp yesterday.

I thought I'd try it for 10 minutes, before I knew it 4 hours slipped by. It's so good.
it's good, but at the same time, it's needlessly long.

like i get the point of starting off with nothing and each attempt you get a little more experience etc, but the progression is just too slow, or the amount of stuff to unlock is too long.

the game has so little variety that you're redoing levels, knowing full well there's a ceiling limit due to having few things upgraded, so you're just playing to get as much coin as possible to then finally unlock stuff and play it better.

i like the idea of it, but i feel now i've played it a couple hours, it needs to allow me to progress much faster. this isn't a game that should take 40 hours to complete, but it looks like it will probably take about 60 to do it all if not more!

I managed to kill a reaper today by pure luck - I had a fully evolved lancet and the evolved pentagram. I was down to my last revive too.

That must have taken some doing! I managed to stay alive for 2.5 minutes at the end of the level and had 5 reapers chasing me. But I couldn't kill a single one of them.

Not entirely sure about the longevity of this now though. I've been on it for two solid days and nights and unlocked all the starting power ups. There are still plenty of evolutions to find but don't really see the point in continuing unless there's some kind of finality like killing "the vampire".

The evolved lancet is the key to killing them as each wave of damage halves an enemies health. I've set myself the challenge of unlocking all the unlocks and secrets.

You can unlock hurry mode which makes each run 15 minutes with quicker levelling which could speed things up a bit. It's the ideal game if you only have 30 minutes free as you know it won't last much longer than that!

I unlocked hurry mode for the first map and it's still 30 minutes before a reaper comes and instantly kills me.

I've had my fun but uninstalling now.

I was on Vampires all night again trying to explode some rolling bone enemy. It got to a massive size but time ran out before anything happened.

I think there’s only a couple more weapon evolutions for me to get now. Don’t know if there’s any additional characters, I’ll go and look that up.

Is Far Cry 6 worth picking up if you enjoyed Far Cry 5?

I only played a little of it at release, I felt a little disappointed in it paying full price, so got a refund. I want to play it again though once I pick it up cheap. Black Friday deals may be a good time to see price drops or it eventually hitting gamepass.
I enjoyed 5 mostly apart from some elements like the drugging parts taking you out of what you were doing and forcing you back into the story.

It’s alright. If you like recent FC games it’s very similar. Some good characters and voice acting. Gunplay is OK

Some updated dynamics here and there but the formula is pretty much the same.

I wasn’t blown away by it but I had a bit of FC fatigue having played 4 to death and then getting deep into 5.

If you are on the fence I’d say pick it up in a sale.

Glad I kept going, I managed to do this last night with the evolved laurel. Definitely going to have to cheat a bit now and look up how to get the last 10 collectibles or so as I could be playing forever and never find things.

Such a good piece of kit, we won't know as they don't release figures but I suspect the Series S outsells the X.

Despite being digital only thanks to game pass having games for it is a none issue
Indeed. It's just not as good for those with big a TV, however sure it's still good enough.

The disc drive in my series x has zero use and never will. Long have gone the days of having shelves of games on display

I've been trying out a game called Gunfire Reborn an FPS rogue lite on gamepass. It's a bit grindy but the gunplay is good. Some of the builds on each run can be great. Last night I got to the last boss with a burst rifle that had higher damage the further away you were which was very powerful.

This is on my play list, keep hearing good things. Need more time to game

Series S now available for £189.99 at a few retailers. Absolute bargain!

I managed to get it for £117.99 as I used the £7 voucher if you get it delivered to an Amazon locker and I also had loads of Microsoft reward points to redeem. You can't even buy a decent used Xbox One S for that!

I picked up Witcher 3 GoTY for £7. I've wanted to play it for ages but haven't gotten around to it. Also, Crusader Kings 3 is on Game Pass, so I'll also be playing that.
The Witcher 3 free current gen upgrade will be available next month so I’d wait a bit longer to play.
