What's being updated? I'm considering forcing myself once again to play witcher 3 while I'm in my quiet period of work during December and have time off to just do nothing. I could wait, but is there any real reason other than graphical improvements?

Mostly graphics but they are also adding in some content from the T.V series, not sure what yet though.
 
Same here, Had it on the PC, got sick of the Griffin bit and ditched it. Then during lockdown I picked it up on the Xbox and got completely hooked. Took months to finish but is a masterpiece, well worth sticking with it.

I tried The Witcher 3 many times over the years and I hated the combat so much that I never played for long. In the end I put it onto easiest difficulty and managed to endure 20+hrs before getting distracted by other stuff.

If you want just story experience then maybe try that.
 
LOL at the Witcher 3 talk here, thats exactly the point where i gave up on the game when it came out!
I felt like i didnt have a clue what the game wanted me to do, and got fed up of trying things and stopped playing, but its frequently something ive considered reinstalling as people have such a positive opinion of it, and up until Skyrim it was the sort of game i'd ignore and this always felt like it could have been on par with Skyrim for me.

Ive just bought an 55" C2 and Series-X, stacked it with 3yr GPU, and looking to see what there is. I see The Witcher 3 isnt on there, but its £6.99 for the GoTY/Complete Edition. I wasnt planning on buying any games, just GPU all the way, but £7 is nothing really.

The Xbox platform seems so convoluted compared to PS, 90% because of their stupid naming system :D

Im looking forward to being able to play random games i otherwise wouldnt have, thats the only reason i've gone with Xbox, ive had PS1-3's in the past and theres very little on console im that fussed about, and GPU (esp on the cheap) is a game changer. Im just hoping they dont remove any of the games im kinda looking forward to trying, before i get round to them.

Tempted to jump back in and see what its like, I got a refund early on, I keep reading by some its improved a lot and has some decent maps now.

You've just reminded me, do I need to disable cross play in the settings to not get matched with pc players?

Just remembered how rubbish this is because you can't specify console only players so as to be matched with PS5 as well as Xbox players, it's all all or just Xbox and if just Xbox you can never find a game

Yeah you have to turn it off in the console settings on Xbox for some reason….

It was pretty dead a few weeks back or just a kill fest with cross play on. Hopefully it might pick up a bit now as tbh it’s not that bad when you get a decent game.

Haha I was exactly the same. Kept dying and had to put it down to easiest difficulty. Played for about ten hours and it has just sat on a shelf since. Yet everyone raves about it. Will try it again when the update comes.

I'll turn it off before I play, if I end up sat waiting for matchmaking as a result I'll just uninstall, gaming time is too precious these days as it is!
 
So when I played the beta it put me off and I didn't buy the game, I was glad due to the press that followed. I played last night due to it being on GamePass and without going into too much detail I quite enjoyed it. I only played Conquest, I joined a couple of games where the lobby was nearly empty and had to exit and rejoin but other than that the games were quite busy.

I'm off today and looking forward to playing later, hopefully it's not dead during the day. But yeah, it was good to play a BF game again, not sure how long it'll last, it was almost nostalgic hunting down vehicles as an engineer which has always been my go to play style as well as playing the objective of course, something which some people still don't get unfortunately

It shouldn't have been released In such a bad state but it has seemingly been resolved and I think a lot of the hate now is people thinking it's cool to hate
