Dunno about "much higher level of detail". I''ll give you higher frame rate, though. But is anything above 60fps really needed in most games ? And I say that as someone who owns a decent PC. These days I mostly play on PS5/Series X because I much prefer playing on a large OLED TV lounging on my sofa versus sitting at a desk in front of my wide-screen monitor. For example, Forza Horizon 5 .... looks great at 1440p 60fps on the OLED ; or I can play at 120 fps on my PC. The higher frame rate isn't noticeable, in my opinion.

I'm done chasing pixels n all. Settee, big screen TV for me. Especially with price of hardware.

Most games I struggle to see the difference between settings on the pc anyway.

I've had a Xbox Series X for over two years and only just moved it to the front room and gaming on the TV from the couch beats sitting at a desk for me, so much more relaxing.

Saying that I do sit at a desk all day so if I had a more manual job I would consider a PC again but with the cost difference for something I won't even notice it wouldn't make sense anyway

I would have done but looks like I missed it?

Yup, last night at 7.30pm. I rage quit half way through - 1st round Forza - don't play it, 2nd round Hellblade - don't play it, 3rd round - Sea of Thieves - don't play it. So I just gave up when I dropped lower than 1000th place and cheered myself up by watching snooker instead. :D

Fair. I've only played Forza out of those so doubt I'd have gone far either! Do they just run it once and done?

Has anybody been hit by Series X storage problems yet?

Need to do a bit more digging but from what I've ready they've messed up a bit by pairing internal storage codes with the mainboards, so, if your storage goes the lot has to be replaced? Seems like a huge waste.

Appreciate the cost, compared to PC gaming isn't really significant but still, given the size of games, save states etc. the storage is invariably getting hammered

Sounds like a system security decision.

Oh yeah it was totally security / anti piracy related, I get that, but as a consumer, it does put you in a bit of a back foot as far as right to repair goes.
