Anyone tried Palworld? Thought I'd give it a go on Gamepass since there has been so much talk.

Not that impressed, I played on Series X and I'm sure the gameplay loop is enjoyable for some but not for me.

The graphics are a bit odd, feels like a mix of styles and not a coherent art direction.

The biggest issue was the control/feel, was a bit too floaty, light and unresponsive.

Might take another look when it comes out of early access.

Usually, when I turn on my XSX controller, the light on the controller pulses for 2 seconds, after which the console also starts and both devices are connected. Lately (since the december update, I think), this not always works.

In rare occasions (I measured it: about 1 in 15 times), the controller xbox logo light will be fully on, but the console hasn't been woken. A manual press of the button on the console is then needed.XSX launch unit, original controller, new batteries. Have already power cycled and replaced HDMI cables. Have already tried secondary controller.

The XSX is configured in eco mode, and is on the default consumer update ring.
Update: reproduced this with a second controller and a second system.

Anyone else experiencing this?

No can't say I am. Is it worth deleting the controller pairings and repairing them with the console?

I’ve had it on the rare occasion but nothing concerning.

As above, would it be worth completely removing the pairing by holding the button until it vibrates twice.

Update Controller if one available?

Hard Reset of Console?

None expert suggestions but all I can think of!

I wish I went PS5, I could easily make use of the Portal and I'm more into (as mentioned above) cinematic single player games than online fps games like i used to be and ive missed out on so many on PlayStation

Graphic wise which is smoother and better I think i seen some glitch on COD and Far Cry 6 on the xbox
I have both. On a high end modern telly there is zip all difference in my opinion. Comes down to which types of games and your style of play. Go a PS if you are into the epic story driven single player games. If it’s for COD and the like and online multiplayer with either friends or strangers then go Xbox. The whole online system, friends, party, recent players, gamepass app and Xbox app inc offline updates etc feels a generation ahead of the clunky PS interface.

If you have a 120hz vrr TV like I do there's no difference anyone can notice.

Sonys 1st party studios have a way of making their stuff looking extremely cinematic that MS have never got near to with theirs. I'm just in the middle of the Last of Us 2 and it's just insane.

Its apparent. MS have given up on all that at this point as they move to make Xbox an extension of Windows.

Days Gone and The Last of Us are titles I wish I had played and the Controller looks great but other than that I really do prefer the Xbox Ecosystem.

I can’t believe how much PlayStation always out sell Xbox.

I think the Series X design and feel is far better, whisper quiet. The quality of packaging made it a lovely unboxing experience too MS did a really good job.

I’ve never gelled with PlayStation / PSN (Growing up I had PS1, PS2) but from then on it was Xbox 360, Xbox One and finally a Series X.

Xbox allow you to play Xbox 360 Games and includes a bunch on Gamepass, has a larger native Mouse and Keyboard support than PS5 and has a large amount of FPS Boosted Games.

I did have a PS4 Pro Inbetween - It was a steal but only ever used to Play Cod MW19 and Cod Vanguard with a XIM

But this reaffirmed my unfamiliarity with PlayStation’s UI/PSN and there was 0 Nostalgia.

Ultimately it really is preference, which games you prefer, design and where your friends are at! The actual gaming experience is like for like on both consoles.

Anyone here have a PS5 or moved to a PS5 from a Series X

I am thinking of it

I had both, sold my ps5 about 2 months ago.
Once I had played all the exclusives I wanted to, It wasn’t get much use.

I have gamepass ultimate to 2026 using the cheap gold conversion method, so for me it makes sense to use my Xbox more.

I will pick up a ps5 or whatever new version that comes further down the line once a few more interesting exclusives release.

I also think the series x hardware is better built than the ps5, my ps5 had coil whine, the series x on the other hand is super quite, a solid unit, smaller and I think has a much better cooling system design.
