I find it hard to understand how people are worried about how the thing looks... are you all going to be staring at the box when gaming?!

Perhaps Microsoft could stick an LED/LCD screen on the front so it's like an amp or sound system if people are so worried about looks ;).

If it's as quiet as the Xbox One X when at full power, that's all I care about when considering it's physical size/build.

It's pretty inconspicuous, I don't see how it's 'ugly', looks pretty much like my subwoofer. PS5 on the other hand. Then again, like zico said, I generally look at my TV not the console when playing.

Lol exactly what I was thinking too. I mean from what I have seen of the PS5, that is absolutely fugly as hell. But that’s my opinion so doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.
I mean I don’t sit there and look at my Xbox one x and oooh such a beautiful console. It’s just a bloody black box that allows me to play my games lol.

Not bothered by the looks, what’s more concerning is the lack of actual Xbox Series X gameplay, not including stuff shown that’s indicative of Series X but playing on a PC.

2 months out now? Ratchet and Clank looked great and bit of a thorn in the side for Xbox at the moment.

the game with two environments looked incredible

The games will come. The lack of much video footage of actual gameplay doesn't massively concern me right now. I'm looking forward to the additional power of the console enabling developers to open up additional functions/AI over previous generations, which in my opinion is the biggest thing for this generation (though of course nice new shiny graphics won't go a miss).

If anyone looks at the best games on a console, and at which point in it's lifetime they are released, the vast majority that look/are the best come later in the lifetime.

It may appear to be well made, but I have zero interest in a kids game like that. I also know that neither of my young cousins will either.

Give it a year and the big games will start to arrive.

I like the fact it's quite inconspicuous..... The facia is quite large, but the footprint is actually very small - looks about the size of two gamecubes stacked on top of each other!

I’m not keen on that plain, plastic case. It looks very cheap. Hopefully when Halo Infinite comes out for “Holiday 2021” there will be an accompanying special edition of the console with a lick of paint.

Looks anything but cheap with nice matte finish.
