Just checked my emails and I noticed I had this message.

The league OcUK League has started a new season. The first round will be played 2008-01-06 at 19:30 (Central European Time).

So now is the time to think out a great tactic and make a good team selection.

Does that mean the teams people couldn't be bothered to play are staying? What's the point in that. There were 9 teams people didn't play and now there are 9 new teams. Surely we need to sort those out before adding new teams to the mix.
 
Does seem a bit odd, the teams that aren't managed completely mess up the table. 5 - 0's all over the place.

I've chucked out a few friendly requests btw :).
 
Gladly accepted CliffyG :) be good to give some of my younsters a run out and see how they get on.

The cup will start later on in the season, I'll start it in a few weeks so that it ends to coincide with the end of the season.

I'll be sending mails to the managers that haven't been turning up. If they don't reply or log back in they will be sacked and their teams will be there to be taken over by anybody else that is interested.

Would there be a possibility to manage two teams that are in the OcUK league?

Obviously they'd have to be playing in different divisions of course, to stop easy wins and such.

Just a thought, as with a fair few people asking about extra games this season it might be satisfactory for them to have a second team maybe? :)

No, even if we wanted to allow it the game wouldn't let you.

Ideally the inactive managers should have had their teams deleted before the new season was started. Unless there are options in the admin panel to cancel the season, delete the teams and then start the season again before any meaningful games are played then it's too late to do anything about it now.
 
Anyone messed around on the gambling side of things yet??
There is some sort of pools betting scheme that goes on - 200,000econ per go I think.

Yeah, I did it pretty much all of last season and no one else did in my div, so I got double my money every time no matter the results :)

Last season I was pushing promotion. Didn't do my team for the last part of it and ended up 6th :(

Just noticed there is a Div 3 now as well :)

I have about 13million to spend so looking to buy an awesome striker :)
 
:D Not a bad start to the season, new boys to the top flight Clippers smashing last seasons 2nd place 4-1 !!
