Yamakasi Catleap 27" 100mhz IPS

Mine is a PB2700 super. Here is a pic showing all the screws the one on the stand is under it....

Lead at the bottom with black coating and metal plug is the panel signal lead and the blue one on the side is the panel power lead...

the black bezel at the front, is glued? to the white corner bezel.
behind the black bezel, are screws either side. (cracked the white bezel a bit discovering this...)

Ahh you have a different model. Sounds like a catleap ? The internals might be slightly different but it should still have the two leads for the panel.

Yep.. can confirm i have none of the screws etc at the top bottom or middle.

i have the Really cheapo one then.. heh

A black frame is attached to the white corner bezel, with ''plugs'..

the white front frame is attached with small plugs, and a big corner one, to the black rear plastic.

trying to figure out a way to pop the black frame out of the white one, to give access to the screws on the front.

Sounds like you have the Acheiva Shimian model if it has a white frame around the bezel. Somebody else had one of the Shimians that did not work and it turned out to be a connector inside not pugged all the way in. Unfortunately for the other guy he had a tempered glass model and smashed the glass trying to get into the back of it. The broken glass then wrecked the screen.

So when you get inside it check all the connectors are pushed into the circuit boards.

Your 480 will work fine.
My 470 does anyway and they are very similar.

I have the shimian model.

and yup.. it was the tiny connector inside that connects the screen to the pcb. not corrected properly.

a tiny little push with my fingernail.....

voila.. superb picture..

Next, some one is going to get one with the pcbs not even screwed in and just floating about inside never mind cables not plugged in properly.

Well my Catleap q270 has arrived and all I can say is WOW. What a screen. No dead pixels that I can see and the DVI cable was a nice thick one with 2 ferrite cores, thoroughly happy with my purchase.

I got mine from aguycalledsamwhousedtosing_korea - bought on Monday, arrived today with as of yet no import fees. He did however not even bother to wrap it, just stuck a sticker on the box, but it did arrive safely.

Anyone got some links to some nice hi res wallpapers?

I already know of www.interfacelift.com

[QH270-Lite] Achieva ShiMian 27" LED Quad HD DVI-D 2560x1440

Ordered from ta_planet on Tuesday 24th April and it arrived today, Friday 27th April. 4 days from S.Korea to Manchester. Cant complain.

Monitor has no dead pixels. Great colours out of the box and happily plays BF3 in all it's glory.Granted GTX680 helps somewhat. My previous monitor was a Dell U2410 and I can say the colours, from initial impressions, are on par with it.

For 2560x1440 wallpapers I just googled 2560x1440 wallpaper and clicked on the images tab.

Edit: my catleap is in Germany

wish that tall cotton crafty git had posted mine quicker as I ordered on Monday but he only sent it yesterday. I wan't some 2560x1440 BF3 action.
