I remember reading that a slight yellowing on an IPS display using LED's is normal I mmight be wrong. My PCBank does not have any...
 
So fedex tried to deliver today whilst I was out, considering I haven't been notified about any charges, does this mean I have managed to skip paying any VAT?
 
I think FedEx are one of the main companies who send an invoice in the post after delivery has been made. Don't mean to scare you but just to let you know. :p
 
need some help

just had one of these monitors delivered.

Connected it up, and nothing being displayed.

I have a geforce gtx480. which isn't on their list of monitors strangely, but it has dual dvi on the back, so i figured i would get one and see. :)

do i need a new gfx card, or is there something ive missed?

The brightness up and down buttons on the back seem to work. so it seems something to do with the signal.

Does the light on the monitor show red or green ?. I would try a different DVI lead as the one supplied is awful..

Are you getting power to the monitor?

Is it just the bios not showing?

Have you checked the fuse?

Check your gfx cards supported output resolutions.

Is it getting power at all?

edit: oops that was a slow reply, but i'd message the seller if you can not get it to work. If you feel competent enough you can open the monitor and make sure the PCB cables have not become loose, which seems to happen a lot.

I'd go without glass, they're reflective as it is and dust can get trapped behind the glass. Which is bad.

There are minor differences between the screens, most are LED backlit. A few are not and tend to be thicker, some don't have mounting holes (Catleap afaik) and some have extra inputs which may increase response time slightly but ultimately gives you more flexibility.

For customs I went with about £120, my thinking being that customs would never fall for the monitor being super cheap like £35 if they opened it up :)

Nothing else to consider really, BigClothCraft even included a universal plug adapter.

Does anything show in the bios, windows booting screens ? Turn the monitor on before the pc and see what happens

Or...

I would try a different DVI lead as the one supplied is awful..
