You wait til it gets to Paris! Trackers graveyard that place. Most get stuck there for 24 hrs.
Cheery aren't I?

Haha, I just don't understand why it would get sent back to there. Surely they can sort stuff in Liverpool for deliveries. I'm just fearing the worst now... I'll end up checking out the tracking every 30 minutes and ringing DHL up at 2 in the morning when it says it's on a flight back to S.Korea :D

I played BF3 earlier and did not change any settings (mostly ultra) apart from putting the resolution to 2560x1440. For the first time I could here the fan on my 6950 with unlocked shaders so it is certainly working harder. I don't run any afterburner or fraps to to get the frames per second so I cant tell you what it was but it was just as smooth as at 1080p.

Awwww man I really wish I never saw this thread as i've not got some serious monitor envy.

It seems that there are quite a few models kicking about too which makes this harder to track but it seems that "Yamakasi Catleap Q270" is the more desired model?

Which models do you have and who did you buy them from?

something surely must be up, surely. Can't believe they'd send it back to Germany.

I, quickly, earlier tried plugging the HDMI cable into an HDMI-DVI adaptor (the adaptor does not have all the pins that a DVI-D cable has) but the PS3 was set to 720p and I did not get a picture. So either the adaptor is rubbish or the 2D's do not scale a 720p input. :(

Thanks. Looks like I'll need to go for the multi input version.

Just rang up DHL and the woman seems to think it's probably just a late scan and the system wasn't updated. According to her system theirs no movement notification so to her knowledge it's in the Liverpool delivery hub and should still come out tomorrow. She also said that things don't usually get sent back that quickly and they'd have to notify the deliverer or the recipient about doing something like that.

So fingers crossed, guess I'll just have to sit by the front door all day.

I'm so jealous of this monitor as I would have jumped all over this if I hadn't already gone down the 120hz route. I currently have 2x LG W2363D's and just reading this thread has tempted me to get rid of them for one of these, but I don't think I could go back to < 120hz for gaming.

How many of you are running at 100hz?

I went from 120Hz to this one.
I wont go back to 120hz if it means dropping this res. I mainly game, at the moment BF3 is what I play most :D

Running mine at 125hz. =D

I've fallen in love with 120hz though, its like having a CRT again everything is so silky smooth :) but seeing as quite a few people have had these at 100-135hz it's feeling more and more worth the risk.

There are so many models to choose for its a bit overwhelming, i've noticed some with HDMI and DisplayPorts and others without. But i've only seen the Yamakasi being overclocked to 100hz+ unless others could confirm otherwise?

I would say that 'desired' is a bit relative. They were primarily desired for the fact that earlier revisions could be overclocked, but this isn't case now (although rumors going about that they will be reintroduced so who knows)

I got a PCBANK one because I preferred the bezel, and the stand turned out to be more sturdy with no lean (at least on mine). They all seem to have little pros and cons but I think if you get one at that price and it's got no dead pixels then it's a bargain regardless. Oh the DVI-D cable is pants, at least with the PCBANK but only a few quid for a decent one so no biggie.

Well.. I was going to get one of these after much consideration but I decided the Dell U2410 was the better option for what I needed. After looking at some of these photo's I'm glad I did. Great price for a 27" but wow it's more reflective than the mirror I have in my bathroom

The "reflective" tag though, is obviously depenent on the room conditions that the monitor is operated within.
I wouldn't want my screen opposite a window even if it had a coating, and if you're spending even £1000 on your kit then you should also be thinking about where in the room it is located for best viewing.
Granted, a glossy screen is reflective, but located properly I have found that it does not detract one bit from the experience, and I have found these monitors (in my case a Catleap), to be a paradigm shift in viewing experience due to the immense resolution.

You don't notice the reflections after a while and the image makes up for it. Tbh I have had a 2410 and although a nice screen they have nowhere near the same level of image crispness and definition that these 2560x1440 screens have. It's all down to taking a risk in getting a good one and hoping it lasts.

Just hung mine on my monitor arm and it is so much better. I was a bit concerned about hanging such a heavy monitor on an arm but tbh I think I could hang my car of this mount it is so solid and the steel is very thick..

It's so much better not looking down at the screen...
