Awww looks awesome :) any reason why you didn't mount straight to the wall? Guess you have a bit more flexibility with the desk arm as I kinda regret wall mounting my two compared to using my old dual-arm desk mount.

I'm seriously close to buying one now, no doubt i'll have one ordered within the next 24hrs.

I have recieved the Yamakasi, it is overclockable however. If I am unable to hit the higher refresh rates in games will it affect me or can I have the best of both worlds and a higher refresh desktop and it'l still look ok when gaming? :)

Only have a 2gb 6950 you see :P Heavily overclocked though..

Ah I've that monitor arm as well (two of them even), they seem to be a bit hit and miss, one of mine rotates too easily, monitor tilts over when you sit down too hard simply from the shock in the carpeted room.. yes it is that bad.
The other is doing its job great.

Really the bolts in this are huge and when tightened I cannot move them at all. Tbh I think the back of the monitor will snap off before the screen moves. Are you sure it's the same mount as there are a few similar ones about...?

Could you message me who you bought from via Trust?

It won't matter if you can't hit the frame rate, you'll just get a bit of screen tear unless you stick vsync on. You can always set your games to use a lower refresh rate from desktop.

Looks awesome Moogleys. I'll definitely have to get a mount for mine when ever it arrives. Good news is that I have a working PC to use when it does arrive.

MDM11S isn't it?
The rotate thing doesn't have a bolt, it's the only joint without one, the rest is rock solid. The tilt one gets a bit too stuck even, usually comes lose with a bit of a shock and then it moves like it should again. Ah well, can't complain much, picked them up for £30 each. Which is several times cheaper than the options I can buy locally. Have my Hazro on an Ergotron MX desk arm which is just perfect but at €130 (~£106) it's in a different price class, not worth it for my secondary screens which are rarely moved.

It's not a MDM11S was looking at that one but the reviews said that it dropped under load. It's a cable mountain Vertical TFT Monitor LCD Desk Arm with Clamp (Google). Was £32 inc postage.

There are two plastic covers over the tilt part of the mount and under them is a big allen bolt. If you tighten it up tight the screen does not tilt...

Thanks,
set it to 100hz and all is fine. :) Good times!

Anyone got a link for some decent colour profiles? Looks fine on mine but technically it may not be :P

I have 3 colour profiles I got from overclock.net but they all seem to be a bit on the blue side. I used 1 of the profiles and then turned the colour temperature down to 5400k which made it a little better.

Yeah I tried those, was all very blue for me too. Default that I'm on atm looked way better and yeah 120hz.net is still down for me too? Strange! ..
Gutted anyway, had the monitor just over an hour and now I have to go to work till 11pm.. badtimes!

Quite sure they come from the same production line as it's identical to my MDM11S down to the welding lines. Plastic caps, dimensions, clamp everything is exactly the same.

I noticed the same hanging problems but decided to risk it as it seemed they were all from people that made no mention of tightening the bolts. I got a 5KG Samsung 2443bw on it (in portrait mode) and it doesn't hang at all. I can put quite some pressure on it and it still wont budge.. just the wood of my desk that starts cracking most likely.

Under the plastic covers on the one I have is a bolt to tighten the tilt mechanism. The MDM11S has a joint in the middle of the arm which this does not ?

Tilt tightening bolt.
