Thanks :( I can live with the gloss finish, but I need a height-adjustable stand.

I believe the Crossover 27QLED-P (note the "P") has a height adjustable stand.

That's awesome! Thanks .Griff.

I'll have a look now for that model, but with a DisplayPort input. Otherwise it means I have to buy a DP --> dual-link DVI adapter for ~£70.

Unfortunately the multi-input model has a fixed stand and costs considerably more.

I don't know all the Korean variants off by heart but I don't think you'll find one with an adjustable stand AND DP input.

I can get the adapter for quite a bit less from the US, so l'll just focus on the stand for now.

EDIT: I found one with DP and the adjustable stand, but it's £323 which is £100 more than the dual-dvi model. Sod that!

Don't forget most of these monitors have vesa mount holes. You can get a height adjustable stand delivered for about £30. I will probably get one for my catleap in a few weeks. The one i will get will probably be the allcam MMS01 with black glass base.

Hopefully I will get a reply tonight starting to miss the screen now. My brothers has arrived and he says it is working perfect. I knew I should have had it delivered here could have swapped them... :D

The Yamakasi is a bugger to get the stand off though, trust me I did it today with mine :D it really shows the "cheap" side of the monitor but now its out I love it.

I've actually got rid of my 120hz monitors for just this, its that good!

Hope he gets back to you :/

Ah will be a breeze for you then :) I was just shocked at one of the connections being held in place with electrical tape :S

The only connections that should be held in place with tape are ribbon cables (wide multicore flat cables like the ones you find connecting the monitors screen to the circuit board). The tape just helps to stop the ribbon cable being pulled out which is very easy to do. Also, because the individual wires in the ribbon cable are very close to each other at the termination point, the tape helps stop dust which can get damp and cause a short circuit. If any other cables have tape on them then that sounds dodgy.

Can anyone comment on the input lag of the monitors at all?

EDIT: The other thing I wanna know is, do games look alright in 1080p? Don't wanna have to buy this to find out my card (5870) sucks at 2560x1440 and at a lower res it looks pixelated. (Like fullscreen 1280x720 games look on a 1080p monitor).

I don't think my catleap suffers from any high input lag and i have not seen any tests to back this up. I don't see why any monitor would have a high input lag unless they are a monitor/TV all in one which uses software to change the image.

Response times, on the other hand, are advertised as 6ms, i think, but in real life will be higher as there is no overdrive trickery in these like the 27" Hazro's have. Maybe it's just me but i don't notice any ghosting but that really could be down to me not ever having any monitor with a really low response time.

Yeah the input lag bit's just important cos I play a lot of fighting games so anything under 16ms (input lag) is good for me.

Edit: Also does anyone know what the exact height (minimum height if it's got an adjustable stand) of the monitor is? Trying to figure out just how on a shelf it can sit before straining my eyes.

The dimensions are listed on the product descriptions.
Each seller has listed them for the model they are advertising.

Unfortunately none of them state the dimensions of the screen itself without the stand.

One last question before I buy.

For desk stand/ mount purposes which is the easiest to mount out of the MULTI INPUT PORT monitors? Seems people are saying the Yamakasi has to be opened up to get to the VESA mounting. Can anyone elaborate on this is it just a matter of unscrewing or really taking the bezels and things apart?

Can't seem to find a PCBank that takes HDMI too (for console).
