I'm back Baby.......:D

Well yesterday I gave my monitor to a friend of a friend who is an LG engineer in the remote chance of fixing the screen. I was convinced it was the panel but apparently it was something on the driver board and to him was an easy fix...

The screen has just been brought back and is working perfect :D I'm over the moon....

I have asked bigcroft for a partial refund and will see what he says but tbh I'm just glad it's working again. There is also no flickering now as well......

The down side is I need to service a mates car at the weekend...

:D:D

Hopefully for more than a week....

That's superb news :)

Moogleys, I've been thinking about getting a pair of those T20's, how are they?
(I dont need them to blow my mind, just for when I cant be bothered to wear headphones)

For my 2cents, the T20's are among the best buys imo I've made in the last five years. Even used them for a 21st birthday in a function room last year.

Great thread so far, I had been nosing some of these monitors in the hunt of an upgrade from my 20" Viewsonic.

Cheers IRLeetly, I think they will be on next months purchase list, along with a Yulong U100.

I found this monitor randomly, I was looking at second hand 30 inch cinema displays, then just typed the resolution into the bay and found a load of these monitors at too good to be true prices, then saw a thread on OCN and also here, though I would take the plunge and am very glad that I did! Hopefully it will kick me back into creative gear (not much of a pc gamer)

Any details of the fault and/or fix?

Given the budget nature of these monitors it's probably a fault/fix that will crop up again.

This ^^
Quite a few people are confident and able to fix things when they know what the problem is so any details you can get regarding the issue would be great. If your friend would be willing to give a good technical description of the problem and how to fix it I am sure it will help people in the future.

So can anyone give a quick rundown on how to take the stand off on the Yamakasi, literally hovering on the "BUY IT NOW" button if it's gonna be difficult then I cba with that one. Plus I got a 10% off Voucher :P

Awesome now I know where to go if my PC Bank fails for similar reasons (still no here yet lol)

Is there a multi input one of the crossover?
Was looking at Yamakasi, PCBank, Achieva where only the PCBank didn't have Multi and the Achieva was £300 (£270 with my discount).

Gonna look at the crossover now.

I don't think the crossover does a multi input, there is a thread on OCN which has a few pictures on getting the back off IIRC, I saw it the other day, my stand is slightly wonky so I will eventually change it for either an arm or a more sturdy stand
