My Shimian came yesterday. Very nice screen indeed, blows away my 1200p TN panel as you would expect.

Only one dead pixel as I can see but The backlight bleed is quite bad, worse than my other monitor. Apart from that I'm happy.

I didn't think these screens were supposed to suffer any real backlight bleed? Maybe it was banged a couple of times in transit?

Dunno, I've heard reports about the backlight bleed being common on the Shimian. Wonder if that's also the case on the Shimian IPSMS hopefully it comes quickly so I can check it out. Will be despatched on Monday, that's what I get for waiting a day >_<
 
Mine glows a bit at different angles not sure if its just the screen or backlight. You only notice it on black screens. I dont think i would see a single dead pixel I have enough trouble trying to read text half the time...:D
 
Same here moogleys, if you are looking dead on with the monitor does it dissapear? mine does, its only if I stand up or am looking from the side that it looks like there might be bleed, maybe something to do with the glossy finish?

It's IPS glow. It's normal for an IPS screen from what I have read...

 
It would be interesting to see how long this thread has stayed int he top 10 or so in the section and for how long, must be close to being one of the most talked about threads in the last few years and who knows may well keep going.

I`m following this thread as I`m very interested in these monitors as well.
I`m thinking of getting Crossover. Found the seller with decent dead/stuck pixel policy but he ships with FedEx. (link removed- sorry).

What do you think about FedEx regarding shipments into UK as I heard they are horrible and charge a lot on customs.. Does anyone has some xperience with them?

There are another batch of 100hz monitors due to hit production lines, there going to be 100 produced a week for 10 weeks.

I think i'll be buying one and then selling my current one as I love it for gaming but seriously miss 100hz+. Seems like the 2b versions will be selling for around $459.90 (£284.83) which is quite a markup but guess its worth it for 2560x1440@100hz!

I'm forcing myself to keep playing games at 60hz but it feels awful :/ even though it looks amazing :D
 
Im getting more and more tempted by these even tho it means ill
have 3 extra dell screens to get shot of lol

Are the prices on these increasing or am i still gonna be able to get one for around
200 all in, disregarding cusroms/import duties.

If i require only DVI and a vesa mount which would people advize i go for?
The glossy screen is a none issue for me i had anamazing hp tn panel that was glossy
And i had no issues with it.

Also which courier appears to be missin customs charges the most atm?
Im on holiday at the moment and was thinking of ordering now and hopefully it
arriving just as i get bqck, how long are deliveries takin on average?
 
So far I have had nothing from Fedex and _korea. I went for the Catleap, but from what I can see, the PCBANK is the easiest to get to the VESA mounts.
 
Loving my monitor so far - its been great :)

What Field of View (FOV) setting are peeps using for BF3? Mine is default (70 I think) but seen elsewhere people using 90....
 
Finally took the plunge and ordered myself a 2b version! cost just under £300 though, in my eyes thats well worth it for the chance of 100hz at that resolution in comparison! will let you guys know how it turns out!
