Might buy a pixel perfect Yamkasi from Green-Sum. How much do you usually end up paying for customs? And what sort of VESA mount do you need to buy for a Yamakasi, I'm a bit worried that it poke the circuits with the screws or something :D

Cheers mate. If you look at post 1776 he says it has no back, not sure what he means. Does it mean it has no silver piece that moogley posted in his picture?

Yes. I meant there is no silver piece protecting the PCB from screws. So long as you use the ones that came with the monitor, and if you're extra cautious, a couple of washers, you should be fine.

remember on a yamakasi yer gonna have to pul it to bits to fit a VESA mount of any kind

Ah that makes it clearer, thank you :) does that mean that back cover of the monitor is all that supports weight of the monitor, by that I mean silver bit on normal monitors takes the weight can aluminium of back cover take the weight ? Hope that makes sense, don't know how else to put it lol

Hmm. Don't like the sound of that... Any other suggestions? A Crossover perhaps...

The Crossover has a metal rear side, so when screwed in, a VESA mount would work a treat if fitted with care. Just remember to be ultra careful with the screws so they don't touch the PCB on the inside as has been mentioned many times before.

Shimian has the same bezel as the Hazro.

It looks cheap in person, there's a gap at the bottom where dust can get in, and the top of the bezel can cover up a few of the very top pixels if you get a bad one. Avoid.

PCBank? Not looked too much into that one.

My money is still on the crossover. Can't beat metal. :p

PCBANK looks like a Samsung tv from a few years back to me. It's not great looking but the screen makes up for it and it hangs nicely of a mount.....:D

Looks slick Moogleys, very slick. :) I see what you mean about the looking like a Samsung TV, it's not ugly imho. The mount looks good though, sturdy as an oak. :) Still, my pal is gonna send BCC a message with some important Q's about a Crossover 27Q LED-P. Hopefully he'll give me the answers I seek and I'll ask my pal to pull the trigger, (he owes me a favour or two :P). :)

Woot! :D

A few poor quality pics (sorry chaps) of the Crossover 2720MDP GOLD LED with pivot stand

The screen has some back light bleed at the bottom corners on pure black screen which you can not see if you cast a shadow over that area and is not notable at all at desktop. I can't see any dead or stuck pixels yet. I just need to sort the brightness out and do some gaming to see if any notable input lag. So far I am really pleased with my purchase :)

Althulas - very good pics. Useful too for those looking to buy that particular model. How does yours have the black back and not the white? I see it's a newer model though, (newer [****] logo on the front). Thanks for sharing. :)

It's a plastic leatheret back, I presume cheaper to mold for the extra connectors.

Ah ok, my Crossover 27Q LED-P will be an all white rear side then with just the one DVI port. Shame I can't stand that newer Crossover '8' logo. I just want to redesign it for them! :D

*EDIT* Logo redesigned. Just couldn't resist. Anyone who wants it on their monitor, let me know. Anyone official from Crossover wants to legally acquire it from me,.. let me know. ;)
If this isn't allowed OCUK, please just note me and I will edit this without question and I hope you'll accept my apologies.

Looks like the first rebrands have hit the UK market under Digimate. Apparently they are just Crossovers. More expensive, but have all the connectors and warranty issues won't be as much of a problem.

I'm tempted, but then there are also murmurs of some other bigger name brands looking to get in on the UK market in a few months with these cheaper 27" panels.
