Depends if he has active internet at the property currently, I work from home so connection is a prority for me!

Was the angle I came from ;)
My missus and I both work from home.

But losing my **** wouldn't achieve anything.

I consider my internet connection to be a priority for reasons that have nothing to do with work.

That's my angle.

Wish they’d get their finger out and take my order! Fibre has been overhead for over 2 months now and I still can’t order.

I know stuff takes time but I don’t care, I want my order placed!
As I discovered with mine, there was a lot of other bits that needed to be lined up before I was able to order...and a few more post-install that needed to be tweaked before it actually worked ;-) It's a bit of a painful time, but trust me - if they could take your order today, they would, so there will be a good reason why your house isn't quite ready yet. If you see guys walking around, ask them - they're always helpful and will generally share with you what they know about timescales. Round here, they had a rush on every month to get as many houses as possible ready to order before the last, calendar day, so watch for them appearing in-force on these days!

No consolation for you, I'm sure, but I'm a month in now and the service has been reliable and performant, so it was absolutely worth the wait. (for me, 5 months from shovels in the ground to working internets)

Thank you for the insight. Yeah it's gone silent around here now. I think they've pulled virtually every overhead pole they could but I appreciate the difficulties network builders have (more than most). I'm just impatient - I'm on a REALLY good deal at the moment for my Zen Gb service but it's asymmetrical - I want that symmetrical goodness lol

I had far-end-of-the-wire FTTC here, so YouFibre was like going from dial-up to 500k cable back in the day!

Do you know if you are on a new exchange for YF? We were, so the whole physical build-out (i.e. kitting up poles) was also accompanied by an infrastructure build in the exchange and until this was completed, no one in the area went live. It was the exchange commissioning that actually delayed my own go-live by two weeks after my installation date, but as everyone was in the same boat, I just gritted my teeth and smiled while checking the lights on the ONT every night... ;-)

Not sure on that one. I know we're virtually last on the line from when they did the BTOR fibre roll out and as far as I understand the YouFibre build out starts from the same place so they're likely getting a few more ducks in line before they get to us. NVM - I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

So are youfibre any good? from some speedtests I see on this thread..............situation is my sister she's on plusnet and the max she can get is apparently 66mb (she's never got anywhere near that) so they got a letter through from yoofibre. Paying 27 quid for leas than 40mb going up to 900 up and down for 29.99 it's a complete no brainer really

No real reason not to. Round here it's been rock stable since day one (only about two months so far though!)

Only thing to note is that out of the box you'll get CGNAT (as is the case for most altnet ISPs) and you need to pay another £5/mo to get a proper IPv4 address. If this matters to you, it's worth considering.

Not had any issues at all and I'm extremely happy.

They even have the courtesy to email me about any maintenance well ahead of time, unlike Virginmedia.

They have a decent referral thing right now too, so drop me a mail and I'll send you a link if you want.

Mines has been installed a week now. Solid connection. Have opted to get my phone line brought over from sky and that will come across next week. Gone from sky 55mb at £42 less £10 discount to Youfibre 955 up/down with static ip for £31 p/m.
Installation could be better organised / planned but they responded well to my complaint. I'm impressed

I’ve had “the” text and I can now order online.

How are people getting it cheaper though? Gb with static for £32? @immy ?
I think they've had a recent price increase but only by a couple of pounds. I pay £27.99 for 1gb but same package is now £29.99. If you've had anything posted through door then your local sales rep may be able to get you a cheaper deal.

I decided to finally get a static IP yesterday and pay the difference so family members can access my media. should have just done it from the start. It went live about an hour later.

If you have a local Facebook page - see if there are any YouFibre agents posting - when we went live, local agents were offering intro deals.
Prices did fluctuate for a little while.
The 1GB for me was £29.99, however I got the first 3 months for £1 / month - so am paying less than the adjusted price when it went to £27.99
I think it's gone back to £29.99 again.

Remember they will also buy you out of any current contracts up to a value of around £300 - wish I'd researched that earlier, as I stayed with Vodafone upto 80 for far longer than I needed to.

i got 10% early access deal. Tell the sales agent you signed up on the early access deal on the website and try wing it....they should be able to get the manager to apply the discount on the fibre price. They dont discount the static ip.
They also gave me 2 months free due to the mess up of the install but they resolved that pretty quick.

Alternatively, you can use my referral link (http://aklam.io/cK4iyT) and we both get £100 if you go for the 500mb or 1gb packages.
