Your favourite GTA game ?

Also Nokkon I honestly can't agree with you with regards Voice Acting, it's bloody brilliant in IV.

Even Niko's pretty shocking Serbian accent? :o
Brucie is an absolute star and probably my favourite character in any game ever, he's hilarious, and I really do enjoy the cut scenes for the animations and quirks of characters.

I compared them before, the voice talent behind Saints Row is streets ahead (as in actors abilities).

Sam Jackson, Chris Penn, James Woods, David Cross, Shaun Ryder, Danny Dyer, William Fichtner > Keith David, that big fat black man from Green Mile & David Carradine.

No they weren't. The player options were fine, maybe not as defined as the system EA have worked on for YEARS, but still good, but I was talking about the ability to paint cars in regular, metallic or pealescent and also pick my colors, as well as putting hydraulics etc.. in the cars. The editing of cars in Saints Row is something that Rockstar have NO excuse for not having.

There is full car customisation in San Andreas!? There's 2 different custom tuning garages across the city for specific cars (low riders, jap rockets) as well as Transfender for every day cars. SR added nothing new there.

Ok Niko's accent is pretty A-typical but Brucie, Little Jacob and Badman are absolute classics! Anyway this thread is going off topic with regards SR so can we stick to what peoples favourite GTA games are.

Brucie reminds me of Doug "BOOM Headshot!". :D

Maybe it is him.

Keith David & David Carradine.
Woah woah woah, and the rest. I think you'll find there are LOTS from TV shows, and we're not talking small TV shows either. I've compared the lists before.

You count some real no name voice talents at the end of that list (bar Danny Dyer as he's ace), yet leave out some very talented actors from Saints Row. If you're gonna compare, at least do it fairly and honestly.

I was talking into relation of people praising GTA IV when it in fact lacks what games of the same generation already offer. But if you want to mention San Andreas that's fine.

If you look at the post where I mentioned customization I gave GTA 'graphics' against Saints Row's 'customization', it was quite clear I was comparing Saints Row and GTA4. Christ, I wouldn't give San Andreas 'graphics' would I? :p.

It's about as far from 'bang on' as you can get. It's actually called an opinion.

The fact that I think it is bang on is my opinion, and the fact that you think GTA is a better game is your opinion and probably the opinion of many others.
I just think that some people see a game like GTA but not GTA and call it rubbish due to that fact, I'm not saying you do. It happens with every game that is similar, people pick a side and then have to shoot down the other side. You see it with consoles too.

I would love to see an updated version of Vice City. Definitely the best one. So far. Can't fully justify that until i've finished IV.

Same. Though I think London would be better.
We make the best gangland movies anyway, so it should be obvious.
If they're willing to do Liberty City twice, why not give something based on London another go, just make it British.

We make the best gangland movies? Such as?

Not sure a GTA based in Britain appeals to me much. I hope they think of somewhere new for the next GTA though, and not Miami / LA / San Fran / Las Vegas. Much as I would like to see Vice City / San Andreas given the 'next gen' treatment, it's time for a new location.

/Excuse my thickness but cold someone do me a little favour and list the GTA serious in release order for me thanks.

Also off topic abit , but which one s wold run on xbox360??

thanks

GTA, GTA:London, GTA2, GTA3, GTA: VC, GTA:SA, GTAIV

I think San Andreas was on original Xbox eventually so you could play that, not sure about earlier versions. GTAIV works on 360 too. :p

This is what i think the order is:

GTA 1
GTA London
GTA 2
GTA 3
GTA Vice City
GTA San Andreas
GTA IV

Also the last four should work on the 360.

instant 2 police stars if you fail to pay the congestion charge, and additional entry in to the terrorist database.
