I don't know about the other three but Nazi Germany was socialist.

The USSR was also socialist, China, North korea, Venezuela, Cuba... all socialist to varying degrees, all of them a disaster to varying degrees.

On the other hand they weren't exactly capitalists either - there were owners sure, but the government tells them what to produce, what wages to pay etc.. etc..

The common factor with regards to genocide seems to be authoritarian regimes
