YouTube Premium

I had that for a few days, then it started counting down videos I could watch before they blocked the video player from loading.

For now you can enable extensions in Incognito Mode (I'm using chrome), turn on your preferred ad blocker and it still blocks ads that way and you get no pop ups.

I'm still doing this, had no issues so far and just having an Incognito Window open just for Youtube. Not had a single pop up, black screen or any sort of warning.

Ad-less and still no need to sign up to Youtube Premium.

Struggling to sign up through a VPN :(

Tried Argentina, Ukraine and India, Ukraine comes up with US rates and the other 2 come up with ££

Any tips from people who have managed it? Wondering if PIA servers aren't great...

Stuff YTP !! Not paying for it.

I've started using Grayjay on my phone now for youtube as well (not logged in, and just subscribing the channels I want to watch).

If it was a reasonable price, without them then selling even more of your information (read the terms), maybe I would, but as of right now, it's a complete rip off.

Probably buried in pages of replies but I had no luck with multiple paid VPN's and used Windscribe for free in the end to sign up through Turkey.

Will that make a difference? Surely it's being detected simply because of the ip address of the VPN endpoint. If the ip address is a known VPN then it can cause it to be blocked.

It worked for when I was signing up India, unless I used double encryption I wouldn't get the currency of that country.

Ukraine is the only one that worked for me a few weeks ago as apparently they can’t check card issuing country. Other countries I tried it was coming back with an error about card issuer country not matching. Only annoying thing is there’s no option for yearly like I’ve done before so it’s a monthly subscription. I’m assuming the monthly sub will just continue and I won’t have to do it manually with a VPN each month, is that right?

Genuine question, how do they justify ripping off countries like the UK so badly? The cost here is a joke. It’s an internet service, why should it cost nearly £20/mo here and just £2 in other countries? It should be exactly the same cost using exchange rates on the day, surely? we’re being forced to subsidise other countries and/or being ripped off.

Google are taking the ****. I'll admit I am an adblocker, and I still have ways around their current regime.

But charging £17 per month, even whilst stamping down on adblockers? Ridiculous. What they should be doing is finding cheaper solutions e.g. £5 or £8 per month. Then I might be willing to pay.

I made the terrible mistake of deleting my cookies and now I'm seeing "raw" Youtube and HOLY **** its absolutely terrible! Mr-Beast, Sidemen etc overload, just utter guff for people to consume. What's worse is that, since deleting the Youtube cookie, now it won't remember what I've watched before if I close/open Firefox with Ghostery/UBlock Origin still active so thats a pain.
