Outside temp at 50k feet+ = -53 degrees, the wings and nose at Mach 2 are running at over 120 degrees centigrade because of the air friction at that speed. The cabin windows are too hot to keep your hands on... Seriously impressive engineering, but sadly too costly and too damaging to the environment if it continued and expanded, more so because of the altitude in question. Also too noisy for use anywhere near built up areas at takeoff as people complained of shattered windows, car alarms going off etc.
