While it never took off with the pulbic, DAT became widely used in the music industry and backup uses. It was actually quite big for a long while and was considered a success.

When I first heard the story I was puzzled as a lot of musicals I've been to encouraged audience participation, but this obviously wasn't one of them and she was screeching it out like a cat being beaten in a plastic bag. Narcissism and entitlement are definitely on the rise among the general public.
