New parts arrived today for my new PC:

Asrock z68 Extreme4 Gen 3
i5-2500k
Crucial M4
16gb Corsair Vengeance LP
Corsair H80

Fitted it altogether and went straight for 4.6ghz profile. Have installed W7 Ultimate and played BF3 for the last 3 hours. First impressions of the board are superb. Might try overclocking more tomorrow, but for now i'm happy as larry with that!

Well I installed it, rebooted and went back into the bios and all was fine. Then I rebooted and went back and and my MX518 was reversed. That's a bit annoying that it's still not properly fixed.

I'd enabled legacy USB and USB mouse wheel scrolling. I've now disabled them again and its working.

the auto oc profiles uses the VID's which is sometimes higher than whats needed...

Mine sets Vcore to 1.36, but under load the CPU only ever gets around 1.31.

Do I need to use the molex on the mobo if only using one GFX card?

Does it improve stabilty when overclocking

No need, only suggested for SLI but even then some people don;t need it.

Jus got my Asrock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3 form OCUK and just before I place an order for memory I want to check please if this ok for the Extreme7.

well i've manuelly done my oc..

multiplier at 46
turbo power limits 200, 190
vcore mode to offset mode
offset -0.030
LLC level to 2.

which gives me 1600mhz 0.94v idle, 4600mhz 1.3v under load.

The bloke in post #682 in this thread has 8GB of the stuff so it should be fine

The memory itself will be fine.

Do you really mean 8 sticks?

The motherboard only has 4 RAM slots.
