*** Zelda: Breath of the Wild ***

Hmmm dunno if I buy it, I suppose if prices don't jump up I could send it back still sealed?

You could but it will be limited print anyway so you might aswell keep it.

Now is the time to pick up Wii U games as the price will start to increasing on some of them. I picked up Shovel Knight over the weekend as I wanted the retail disc version. It cost me £15 new from the shop, it sells for about £25 on eBay because it was a limited run and now its out of print. I bet the value will be higher this time next year.

I'm surprised at the love for windwaker. I found the map very empty and short. The number of dungeons was a real pain point, and it definitely wasn't a case of quality over quantity.

OoT still remains my favourite, never had an experience like it in any game since (halflife came close). That followed by a Link to the Past as it was my first Zelda and the dark variant of Hyrule blew my mind.

Winkwaker did not do much for me either. For me it was OoT.

I grew up with the SEGA Mega Drive and then Playstation 1 so never played any early Zelda. My first 'own' console was the Gamecube for which I bought WW completely at random in GAME with my birthday money. I think it was the gold box it came in that caught my eye most of all. I had never heard of Zelda before then. I completely obsessed over that game for weeks, made friends at school who were also playing it and would spend the lessons talking about the boss fights and how far we had each got. And for me it's those memories why WW will always be my favourite, even if it isn't technically "the best".

And personally I loved the cell-shaded cartoony style. I could never get in to Twilight Princess as it was such a dramatic change from the Zelda I was used too.

I actually think I purchased a GameCube solely for wind waker. (Got the gold box edition too.)

I loved the cell shading too. The islands, the sailing, the talking boat. Everything about it was charming. I always felt OoT felt a bit "empty"

Wind wakers world certainly felt more alive to me. Yeah it did have its flaws, but it's still definitely my favourite.

I fell in love with WW immediately, I loved the contrasting style to OOT & MM (which I also adore). I think it stopped the series going stale from N64 to GC in a way the 64 took the series from 2D to 3D.

I loved Wind Waker HD. One of the handful of my WiiU games that I fully completed. I'll admit though, that the artstyle isn't to everyone's taste. It's still Zelda though, nothing different there. Even if it's the ocean, there's plenty of iconic Zelda themes in there. Most of which are hidden suprises.

This is why I pre-ordered both Wii U and Switch version. I don't want a Twilight Princess situation again. Amazon has already sold out of the Wii U version.

Oh you can absolutely be sure that it will be Twilight Princess all over again. Who do you think made this game lol? I tried buy the full (AKA special edition) version of Fire Emblem Fates last week. Not in stock anywhere, doesn't exist outside of scalpers seling it for more than what the darn hardware to play it costs. Nintendo are famous for underproducing and then not making anymore. Heck, while they will eventually make more Switch units, you can see them at their usual antics with that being out of stock everywhere right now.

Why is everyone struggling to get the Wii U version, it's only Amazon that have sold out? I just pre ordered it from Simply Games for £44.85. Tesco have it too but for £47.99. GAME are taking the **** as is usual @ £59.99.

Bought a used Wii U yesterday especially for it. Can't wait.

Limited run for the Wii U, no surprise as the Wii U is no longer their flag ship console. Same with TP on the Gamecube.

Do they even have stock? I had to check if it was a fake website...
The site doesn't allow multi address so you cannot have a different billing and delivery address so I cannot order from them even if I wanted to.
Terribly designed website.

Fairly disguising behavior from Nintendo if they have only done a limited run of the game to force people to buy the Switch to play it.

I hope so, they seemingly did at 3 o clock today when I pre ordered it. It's not the best website but they're a legitimate and well respected company.

I don't believe Nintendo will restrict the supply that much. If you can't get it pre ordered then I doubt you'll have much trouble picking it up from a shop in the days after release. Buying it in 2 months time though you might struggle.
