*** Zelda: Breath of the Wild ***

Well game have cancelled my limited edition pre-order for card not working apparently, can't reorder it as it's not there anymore, if I was cynical I'd say they oversold how much stock they were getting and needed to boot a few people off the list. Luckily I still have one on preorder from Nintendo itself, and I'm getting a regular copy of the game when I pick up switch anyways.

Nice, So Smyths finally got stock, given they are trying to get rid of it because of the Switch release.

Still as others mentioned, no point wasting money £260 on a dead platform when its predecessor only cost £70 more.

Get more out of it I suppose. Tons more games on it and its backwards compatible. Which is my major gripe with Switch. Not too much to play at release, backwards compatibility could have helped. No other features/apps at launch either. Looks like the system will be sorted out by Christmas though. Not worth the cost till then.

I'm quite glad in a way there aren't too many games, I know that sounds stupid and to appeal to more people I'd like there to be a good selection to help the console succeed but personally I have so many games I never get round to finishing anything.

I bought an Xbox One S during the Black Friday sale, came with Forza Horizon 3, FIFA 17 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I love the Tomb Raider games but haven't even taken this out of the cellophane yet...

I'm going to try and limit the games I buy moving forward, I look at my Steam library and I've wasted so much money buying stuff in the sales just for it to sit in my list and never get played.

I bought a used 32GB Wii U at the weekend for £80 with Mario Kart 8. I'll make do with that until at least Odyssey is released this Christmas. In the meantime I plan on playing through all the Wii U Mario games.

I want a Switch but once I'm done with Zelda there's nothing else for months that I would want to play.

Mario Kart will be keeping us busy. I mean that is most my Wii U got used for anyway.

If it were Mario Kart 9 I would be buying a Switch right now, but a rehashed MK8? I'll make do with the 'old' version.
Yea, understandable. I am looking forward to playing it 1080p myself. On Wii U it runs 720p.

I do hope they make MK9 in the next couple of years though.

Bargain, is a great little machine.

Highly recommend Mario 3D World, and can be had cheap as a Nintendo Selects title, will likely get more expensive in the future.

I'm really enjoying it. I had never even seen a Wii U in the flesh before this weekend. Considering it was only meant to be a temporary purchase for BotW I've sunk 10s of hours into Mario Kart 8 already and have active bids on Super Mario Bros U + Luigi U, Wind Waker HD and Super Mario 3D World on eBay. :o

Grabbed a pre-order of Zelda from very with the new subscriber discount of £30 off a £60 spend. Effectively paid £20 for it \o/

Hope you have more luck than I did, pre ordered it from Very a couple of weeks ago and got an email a couple of days later cancelling as they weren't getting enough stock.
