just keep finding out new things every time I play it's unbelievable ...

When you chuck a boomerang in long grass it actually cuts the grass :eek: and you have to catch it on its return ! Unreal this game

I have killed about 20 of them and managed to get probably 30 gears from them. Either I am really unlucky with the drop or they are quite rare.

I've only managed to kill the ones stuck in the ground so far. Once you get close there is not much they could do....once I get my master sword though i am going hunting.

My guess would be unlucky as some when they died would drop 5-6 gears for me :)

They are easy to kill before getting the master sword, one ancient arrow to the eye. They practically come to a stop when about to fire, so hard to miss.

I didn't want to waste arrows on them. Now I have the Master sword I'm going for them. But does anyone know why it's sometimes have a power rating of 30 and sometimes 60?
 
Amazing game. I managed to break the black shiny rocks that stick out of the cliffs with a larger metallic rock with links magnetic ability.

I smashed it with it. Amazing game.

You can do it a few ways from what I can tell. You can attach it to one of the octopod things and float it over using a kurok leaf but thats a bit of a ballache. You can use the raft but thats a bit of a faff as well. The easiest way is to simply chuck the ball next to the island and then use your cryosis power to raise it out of the sea onto the top of the plaform and grab it from there. By far the easiest way.

Lol, I did tried the ballon method at first. But ended up with the raft one as I said.

I also found something pretty cool to the west of Faron, where the desert starts. And I had the hardest time with a shrine last night (the one near the 'bad cook'). I think I managed to complete it in a manner that it wasn't meant to be, by jumping on one of the torches. But it was the only way I could see forward.
 
Just a quick update. Managed to fully upgrade my guardian armour last night. That thing is insane each item has 28 armour making the full set 84! Also got the uber awesome Hylian Shield to complement my Master Sword :D

Got 20 hearts now, going to stick rest in stamina to make a third wheel. That said, with over 70 shrines done, all Lynel horse dudes killed (that I found and had marked) I am starting to feel like fighting ganon. Got 9 memories left, going to hunt them down and maybe do a few more shrines and then go finish off ganon.

The Master Sword is twice as effective against calamity enemies (guardians, any enemies in the divine beasts). It'll glow blue and I think becomes unbreakable at that point as well but I could be wrong on that.

Yeah. I have clocked about 70 hours. But I am finally starting to feel like it is coming to an end. Got all the best gear now. Could stretch it to 100 easily if I wanted to however :p
 
Killed 2 Hinox now, piece of cake. Can take off about 50% health before he even gets up. The little guardians in the shrines are harder.
 
What's the best way of tackling the modest test of strength shrine ? Only got 4 hearts so basically died anytime I got near the spider thing :(
