*** Zelda: Breath of the Wild ***

Now they just need to let me migrate my 3DS and WiiU digital content to the Switch/my Nintendo account.

Would love that to happen but think zero chance of it being offered for free, likely you'll have to pay an upgrade fee like when moving a title from Wii to Wii U.

There was no fee for moving Wii VC to WiiU, but you could only play them in 'Wii Mode' of course.

The upgrade fee was for if you wanted to download the same game from the WiiU eShop to take advantage of the GamePad mirrored display, save states and other features.

Link your NNID to your My Nintendo account.

Purchase history has been tied to your NNID account since the dawn of the Wii U, but your NNID (or 'device account') was tied to one console.

If your NNID is linked to your My Nintendo account then your purchase history from WiiU/3DS is effectively tied to your Switch. Whether that means we'll be able to download previously purchased VC games without charge is another question however.

How do I view my purchase history?

Equally as big of a question is which VC titles will be available and when.
I don't think we'll see Wii VC games on Switch anytime soon, but hopefully NES, SNES, N64 etc will be available before long and in a similar capacity to whats on Wii U/3DS now.

Back on topic: anyone replaying any Zelda games to warm up for this? I started TP HD on hero mode recently, it's kinda tense!. I forgot just how dark and weird the game can be too.

Skyward sword for me although I was tempted my Ocarina of Time on my daily commute.

It looks a bit empty because there is not a lot of environment detail (in the 'near distance' especially).

I think having open space is fine as long as there are meaningful encounters and objects to come across regularly, which seems to be the case here (but wasn't with NMS...).

I hope the game world is a bit like far cry in the sense that there is enough mini locations and events/objects/enemies to keep you occupied but the world itself gives a sense of scale.

Cheers for clarifying, that all should have been included for free in my opinion.

As much as I'm excited for this game, I can't help but feel from every single video I see of the game, the world looks so so so empty, like no man's sky empty.

Nintendo purposely didn't show towns in the previous demos, they seem to really want players to feel that sense of discovery which is great.

Interesting interview re. Zelda and 1-2 Switch on Nintendo Voice Chat podcast with Bill Trinen from Nintendo Treehouse.

I've got the fancy prima ones in the chest. But I more bought it for collection rather than a guide.

Does anyone here actually purchase guides for games? I do not recall ever doing that. If I was every really stuck or want tips I just use google.

If I'm really stuck I usually check online but want to pick up the hardback version as a collectors piece like Kobi said.
