I think i read in one of our recent spec me threads you run fans at default/full tilt (may have remembered incorrectly)? In which case the fan was never going to be an issue for you - bonus (but can't relate - in fact does not compute

I did the cpu-less and ram-less bios flash prior to installation...seemed to go alright and exactly as how gigabyte described. So I don't think it's a bad bios flash fwiw.
