Zombicide!

I missed out on the previous projects and refuse to pay ebay money for the exclusives but I will be happy having proper dashboard cards and finding substitutes :D.

However, I do want to get hold of the guest artist boxes. I haven't seen any UK pre-orders for them yet but I hope they might be added on as extras at the end of this KS.
The guest artist boxes are now available as extras for this Kickstarter, as well as a new character obviously based on Leonard from Big Bang.

I saw those last night but it would mean waiting until next year to get them. I did notice Wayland Games have them available to order at just over £15 each but with their usual vague 3-9 working day order lead time.

A US based Ebay seller I have used before have them for about £10 each now and USPS comes in at about £8 for all 3 current sets. Previous orders have arrived in less than 10 days but never got held by customs. Tempted to gamble on not get hit for duty and get my fix soon :p.

I'm really tempted by this, especially because it finally adds some PVP rules! However, I'm worried about customs charges etc., anyone got any rough idea how much buying the full set will cost including shipping, duty and handling etc.?

Not sure on the shipping costs but it does mention somewhere in there that they bear the brunt of the shipping to each regional hub (China/Germany/US/Canada) and then costs from there.

Likely this would avoid the customs at the very least :D

Awesome, I didn't notice that! Well then, I guess that with the money saved in customs I could buy a cheeky wee guest box... :D I like the look of the Kevin Walker and Adrian Smith ones.

"Shipping Information

Shipping information - Please take note

Based on past experience, we will be charging shipping after the Kickstarter concludes based on the actual costs incurred to ship. We will collect this via our pledge manager after the campaign concludes.

This is so we can be fair to all our backers as shipping is rarely one size fits all, and also give you more stretch goodies and possibly a choice of carrier options.

We will ship your rewards at our cost to our international hubs. Depending on where in the world you are, we will either ship you from our hub in Germany (EU backers), China (Asia Pacific backers), Canada (Canadian backers), Australia (Australia backers) or Atlanta (USA and the rest of the world). Using the previous Zombicide games we have estimated shipping for these regions:

$11 to ship in the USA, about $20-$25 in the EU (due to VAT), $11 to Hong Kong and $15 - $25 Australia thanks to a new shipping partner, but this may increase or decrease based on the quantity of stretch goals we might unlock and your carrier choices."

They state that the P&P costs for EU will be around "$20-25 (due to VAT)", which seems reasonable.

I've noticed that they've unlocked another stretched goal and added some more that will probably be met soon. I'm really tempted with this... :D

I've noticed that Audrey looks like the girl off Big Bang as well. And House is in there as the Doc :)

Last time they kept on adding stretch goals all the way up to $2m, and I imagine they'll do the same again. That's why I think it's worth pledging $150 if you can afford it, as you'll easily end up with $300 worth of stuff when you add in all the stretch goals.

Yeah, they've already added some more since my post. It's the gift that keeps on giving :D

So if I back season 3 at 150$ do I get all the extra goodies they keep adding to the reached goals?

I know there is the odd thing you have to pay extra for..

Okay, I've just backed this with the $150 option.

Two questions:

1. How do I order the optional stuff? Do I get this choice once the kickstarter closes?

2. There's no way that I can wait until February to have a game, so I'm going to invest in season 1 or 2 to keep me going in the meantime. Which is recomended?

They'll send you a survey after the Kickstarter closes. You can then pay the difference via PayPal or Amazon usually.

2. There's no way that I can wait until February to have a game, so I'm going to invest in season 1 or 2 to keep me going in the meantime. Which is recomended?

Definitely start with the basic game. It's the simplest.

I took your advice and bought the first one. I played a few games with my son over the weekend and we both loved it. I can't wait until the third one arrives, currently figuring out which extras I'll go for...

In the meantime, I'm looking at getting the Toxic Mall expansion and some dogs, zombie and companion :D

I've backed the $150 option, I'm thinking of getting the Zombie and Survivor Dogz too, is 1 pack of each sufficient? Planning on picking up the Compendium too, 50 new missions for season 1? Yes please! Don't think I'll bother buying the optional survivors which have the zombivor stretch goals, only one I was tempted by was Stallone. :)
