even so...he’s kicked a cat. Obviously if more comes to light then review it but it isn’t worthy of jail time.

He kicked it, chased it, punched it, all while laughing and in front of his kid. I think it should at least have some action from the police.

Yes but theres footballers who have done and been accused of far worse that are regarded as legends.

We also hold a yearly horse race which is a hell of a lot more damaging then what Zoumas done.

He needs some form of action for sure, what action that is i dont know.

This post makes no sense. Yes, there are players that have done worse and are still seen as legends but that doesn't mean they weren't or shouldn't have been investigated by the police

And the horse racing isn't an illegal act

It isnt illegal but its a lot more damaging.

Im not saying he shouldnt face action but lets not be hypocrites here. Calling for his career to be finished, 6 months stints in jail and fed to a tiger is a bit much.

MMA and Boxing are more damaging than most punch-ups at kicking out time on a Saturday night too. I'm sure you'd be happy if somebody punched you in the face and faced no action as they done less damage than Anthony Joshua does when he hits somebody.

Comparing what Zoumss done to the grand national is silly.

there’s no intent to harm the horses when racing. Any injury or death is a very sad accident.

Zouma has intentionally caused the poor cat harm.

well, if I even there’s no intent to harm, there is an inevitability of it. Though I agree it’s a poor comparison.

I do think that a society that endorses and celebrate things like horse racing does incidentally legitimise animal cruelty though. Some people just aren’t capable of disassociating poor treatment of animals by others in a different capacity from their own choices and attitudes. Consuming meat with scant regard to welfare of farmed animals is another.

No intent to harm them but we know we're causing damage to the horses when racing and some quite happily put em down Soon as they can't race even if they could lead another life.

Can't stand horse racing and the abuse they take so some muppet can feel good about whipping them and jump over a Bush.

Any way regards Zouma just shows him to be an animal abusing ****, should be banned from owning any form of animal and the cat taken from him and rehomed at the bare minimum

From watching US shows if theres a suspected case of animal cruelty its the SPCA that will gather evidence and put the case before the prosecuting officer if they think theres a case to answer rather than the police getting directly involved, not sure of the routine over here but considering that video footage exists I'd be surprised and frankly disgusted if no action was taken by somebody

I have a sad feeling West Ham are just going to sweep this under the carpet

Wasn't there a case of a primary teacher recently recorded beating a horse that got the sack as a result?

edit yep: https://news.sky.com/story/primary-...f-woman-kicking-and-punching-a-horse-12501125

It's not just that he slapped and booted a cat around.
As a representative of a football club, abusing an animal, doing so for amusement, and effectively bragging about it to the general public is what ought to end his career.
