Zouma - bit of a ****

I'd be amazed if Zouma isn't playing for West Ham again within a month. They're not sacking a player they've just spent £30m on 6 months ago. They'll suspend him for a few weeks and he'll go on some sort of educational course and then he'll be brought back into the side.

I imagine Zouma will also "donate" a months wages or similar to various charities.

These things quite often are but in this case hes just acting like a **** and deserves to be punished severely. I would love to see footballers contracts ripped up when this sort of thing happens. No idea on the legalities of it but footballers need to realise that they are held to the same standards and higher than average people. Thats part of why you are paid so much. You have to be a not horrible human.

Yeah, clearly a lovely character. Teaching his kids that this sort of thing is funny and OK. His apology is pathetic as well. If he was a United player I would never want to see him wear the shirt again.

Exactly, footballers are more than just their worth on the pitch, they are role models - and this won't have escaped the attention of a large number of impressionable young teenagers on their smartphones.

If I were at West Ham in a position of power then I'd love to be able to get rid of him and you just know right now they are debating the morality of the situation against how much they paid for him, knowing what a huge amount of money they would just have wasted if they were to show him the door. Money rules over everything, sadly.

You know the depressing thing that will happen (if he is released/sacked/whatever) is that he will just find some other club who will take him in on a free transfer, spin a line about forgiveness and starting afresh, and it will all be forgotten.

I have a sad feeling West Ham are just going to sweep this under the carpet

Yup :(

While I had little doubt that they wouldn't sack him, I'm stunned they have decided to start him tonight. I guess they're hoping to just get all the hysteria out of the way ASAP and hope it's forgotten about within a week or two.

You say that, but you just know other clubs would have done the same. My club, Hull City for instance did something similar if I recall with the whole Marlon King situation. Its depressing.

Im very confident Klopp wouldn’t make that call.

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to BT Sport about whether the video of Kurt Zouma on social media this week influenced his decision to play the defender: "No, because he is one of our better players. But it is certainly ongoing and the club are dealing with it, so that is a separate matter."

Real classy Moyes.

Its not a separate matter and the very least the club should be doing is dropping him for a number of games. Pathetic that he basically said "hes one of our better players so we don't care that hes an animal abusing piece of ****"
